Yep…I suggest that every elected official should be required to have a list of all bank accounts, investments, and financial dealings, and sources of income on file with a bi partisan watchdog committee. Every 6 months, each elected official, congress person..whatever must undergo a thorough audit to show exactly how much they’ve been paid, how much their net worth has grown, how much their investments have made, the whole nine yards. If anything is out of line and they can’t explain it, then they are penalized for first offense, second offense is ejection from congress. If they are found to have engaged in insider trading, automatic ejection from congress and charged under appropriate laws.

also, members of congress should not be eligible for government benefits like public service student loan forgiveness. Has anyone noticed that AOC’s student loan balances seem unchanged? Likely she doesn’t intend to pay them off, probably paying the minimal amount so that after 20 years in Congress, her loans will be forgiven.

It’s time we reign these people in. Elected positions are not for personal enrichment and power.
