Papers please? Are you legal or not...

Nope.

I want current laws upheld, violators rounded up, sent back to where they came from, til such time as they find a legal way to reenter the country.

Laws really are too hard and borders are racist 'n stuff.

While I'm at it, we should hand kids medals just for showing up, give everyone a big 'ol raise and stop expecting people to speak English in America.

Hey, what's on teevee tonight?

.
Care to make something like an adult response, as in, Yep, I think we might just have to all bite the bullet, pun intended, on this one.

Boy, NOTHING you have ever posted deserves an adult response. It deserves nothing more than pointing and laughing.
You don't want to know who should or shouldn't be here? In a police state they know such things. You have something to hide?

Are you on drugs again?

Nope, I'm presenting the reality of what it will take to find out who is supposed to be here.

Nope.

Not much of a way to round people up when you have no damn idea who is supposed to be here in the first place...

hmmm...

the people that are getting special drivers licenses, the people that Obama is trying to give special privileges, the people being held awaiting trial for crossing the border illegally, people that have already been deported 4-5 times would be a good place to start

A drop in the hat, literally. Let's do it right, like other nations, for once.

predictions are 11-15 million illegal aliens.

Obama wants 'legalize' about 5 million.

that's about a third, not a 'drop in the hat'.

and a decent start,

THEN we can start on clean up.

Starting with those that employ them.

(They can pay for the bus ticket back)

Never happen. Because of the welcome mat they more or less gave them the ticket here, and your side owned the White House the majority of that time.

Seems to be a big issue for you guys so here are your solutions. You can:

Go through the entire country once and identify everyone.
Pass out what looks like this, for free of course, and that includes paying for any necessary documentation.
national-identity-card.jpg

Require that everyone over the age of 16 have that ID on them at all times or face arrest until the ID is presented or can be verified.
Chip up everyone under 16 and give that option to all others who don't want to bother with the ID card.
And then check, in any and all public places of transit, the ID's of all who come and go, everyone, without profiling or discrimination. If you don't have the chip that the automated scanners can read you must present your ID.

So, are you up for that, having the kids chipped up like a dog and you always with your ID? If you want to deport those who are here illegally the first step is to sort the wheat from the chaff. Now is your chance to be a good citizen and allow the government to know who you are and whether you are coming or going.

As an incentive, we can add your debt card to the chip and you don't even have to carry a wallet or purse. What a deal eh? So, who's first in line?
As per usual you present a good solution to a problem pointed out by your enemies, then chuck it as hard as you can down the well of insanity just to disprove that there's a problem at all.

Fortunately we live in a Constitutional Republic, where all persons in the United States are entitled to due process, the presumption of innocence, subject solely to the rule of law.

Consequently, one is not 'illegal' until he as been afforded due process and found guilty in a court of law of entering the country absent authorization.
If you come here illegally, why do they get same benefits as an American.
Next time you're at the ER while your waiting for your turn after the illegals . They get free treatment and if you're one of the few Americans that still work you will have to pay.
Now from what I hear from media ,illegals are hard workers, so why do they get so much free help. Welfare, food stamps, health care. I just don't understand.

Oh, there's a problem alright, it's just that everyone would rather bitch than actually do anything, as this thread clearly shows. With a couple of decades of hard work this issue could be fixed, but that's what it would take, hard work not bitching or magic...

i think those that call for the killing of handicapped kids is a perfect candidate for that police state....dont you?....

Where you presented a workable, common sense solution:
Pass out what looks like this, for free of course, and that includes paying for any necessary documentation.

Where you promptly threw it out in a petulant fit:
Require that everyone over the age of 16 have that ID on them at all times or face arrest until the ID is presented or can be verified. Chip up everyone under 16 and give that option to all others who don't want to bother with the ID card.
You already know that the pro-ID people don't want to arrest citizens for not having their ID on them or put radio chips in minors. We both know you suggested it specifically so they would reject it and you could bitch about them rejecting your sensible solution above. How about we drop the partisan bullshit angle and focus on what they actually want and you claim to want as well? Let's work together to make sure that every US citizen, whether born or naturalized, is documented and has some form of identification.

Great idea, and since we don't have a national photo ID, like other nations, we need to start there. Since it is our need to know who is or isn't supposed to be here, it's our tab to pick up if someone does not have, since some don't and it wasn't required, whatever the hell it is we need to figure out who they are. Once you've issued the ID you're going to need to check it from time to see if those here are supposed to be here. There's no way around that when you have many thousands of miles of open borders.

And while the chip idea might sound radical, it's not, it's common sense, just because we haven't gone there doesn't mean we shouldn't. I can get the dog back, find my cell phone, find my car, find my wife by her cell phone. The idea that we can't track a child that was kidnapped is idiotic. The technology is there, let's use it to our advantage. And for those worried about privacy, honestly that horse left the barn generations ago. If we want to get serious about illegal immigration we'd better damn well start at step one, figuring just who in the sam hell is supposed to be here in the first place.

Cool. How can we bring about the creation of a national photo ID? And by we I mean the two of us personally. I'm willing to pay my share if you are.
On that one we might need a bit of help, as in from the entire government, local, state, and federal. Step one would be identifying everyone. Step zero would be getting the populace on board with the idea that such a thing is necessary and valuable.

Part of that is that they're typically paid next to nothing for seasonal labor because their status as non-legal residents prevents them from having legal protections against the exploitative business owners who hire them.

... But you probably already knew that...

Coincidentally, I just got an invite from ICE to attend their IMAGE training seminar which is all about checking peoples documents.
