It seems that the Egyptian government has rolled up to a sobriety check point. I guess they decided to listen and actually paying attention to what the peaceful inner strugglers™ in Gaza'istan are saying and doing. It's a bracing look at the Egyptian reaction to the virulent hatreds, lawless chaos and violence that defines the disease of the "Palestinian" Arab Terrorist society.

El-Arish, Egypt – Egyptian military officials say the army has begun doubling the size of a buffer zone along the Gaza border, an operation that will involve the destruction of 1,220 homes and the eviction of residents.

The operation will expand the existing 500m buffer zone created last November to a full kilometer (0.6 mile), a move meant to halt the passage of weapons and militants. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to journalists, expect to complete the expansion by the middle of next week.

I Just hope Sisi would be the one to deescalate the tense between Israel and Egypt - take control over Sinai again, and expand all co-ops with Israel, best thing happened to Egypt, but its a shame people like him will have to consider their lives in danger.

I agree, Daniel. Sisi has learned that Egypt shares common threats from "Palestinian" Arab terrorists. The Egyptians have also learned that they can cooperate and find mutually beneficial relationships with Israel. Israel, by it's historic political position of "land for peace" and previously returning all of Sinai to Egypt, unilaterally withdrawing from southern Lebanon and Gaza and negotiating to give back nearly all the West Bank has a proven record of accommodation.

There can be some guarded hope (with reference to Israel and Egypt), for opportunities of mutual acceptance and opportunity for mutual growth and prosperity.

What energies and dedication could have been placed by the Arab peoples for betterment of their lives and those of their children if their focus had been on their own growth as modern nation states and not on scapegoating hatred and bigotry toward Israel in specific and Jews in general?

Choices were made.

The Israelis can begin squeezing-out the Gazans from the North...

The Egyptians can begin squeezing-out the Gazans from the South...

Meeting in the middle, much like the Americans and Russians met on the Elbe in 1945...

They can then jointly herd the dregs of Gaza across the border into Jordan...

And split the land between them...

Or one or the other can buy-out the other's share...

Whatever works best...

Leaving Israel free to turn its attention to the West Bank...

The Jewish Reconquista of Eretz Yisrael continues apace...

And the universe continues to unfold as it should...
