Overwhelming Majority Of Studies Find That Gun Control Policies Don’t Work

And what would show up on his Fed gun background check ?

In Massachusetts he would’ve had to get a license thru the local police . He would’ve been denied because the LOCAL police know he’s a psycho because they’ve been to his house so many times.

Florida has no such law . Don’t even need a license.

Your ignorance is showing, the kid pointed a gun at his mothers head and wasn't arrested and prosecuted. If he had been he wouldn't have been able to purchase a gun. The system failed on multiple levels, deal with it.

.

So he already had a gun ?

And he violated the law with it, why wasn't he arrested?

School shooter reportedly describes emotional struggle in 911 call - CNN

The Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy who responded spoke to Cruz and Rock Deschamps, who "hugged and reconcile(d) their differences."

Cruz "said he was sorry for losing his temper," the deputy wrote in his report.

Rock Deschamps told the deputy that Cruz had been suffering significantly from the loss of his mother and that he didn't want him to go to jail, only to leave the house until he calmed down. Rock Deschamps signed a form saying he refused to press charges.

You might want to check the FL laws on domestic violence, the victim doesn't need to press charges, the State takes care of that.

.

True. States got really tired of having to clean up the mess after some woman with Stockholm's Syndrome kept refusing to press charges and ended up with her abusive husband/boyfriend killing her and her children. Most, if not all, of them now have laws allowing them skate right on past even asking if anyone wants to press charges. Unfortunately, the officers in question still have to actually do the work of hauling the offender in, and clearly, that's a big loophole.

How much do you want to bet that most gun accidents, murders and suicides are not committed by NRA members?

Read my link, dope.

It's meaningless as is much of what you post.

No meaningful statistics to be applied over a population of over 300 million can be garnered from a couple day's worth of data

And FYI I would still win that bet

Loser.

OOOH once again I am cut to the quick, skewered by your rapier like wit.

FYI a rapier is a type of sword

Great. You still posted nonsense that my link spoke directly to without reading the link.

That makes you a loser.
I read the link and it is based on inadequate data

FL is in full compliance with federal law, as are all States. Just because they, like most States, have chosen not to add a bunch of bureaucratic bullshit to infringe people constitutional rights doesn't make them wrong. You should be ashamed living is a State that does and have the delusion that it keeps you any safer. You're more likely to die in your bath tub than being shot by a rifle of any kind.

Timmy loves having to beg the police chief in his town for permission to exercise any of his constitutionally protected rights because he has actually been brainwashed into thinking that some unelected state, town or municipal employee has the authority to deny or allow him to do so.

Yeah, it's pathetic how quickly ignorant people are willing to surrender their rights for some misplaced since of security. That local cop is only minutes away when seconds count and they have plenty of crime scene tape and chalk to aid in their investigation.

There ya go folks, the people snowflakes trust are saying gun control won't work:

An analysis of thousands of gun control studies claims that just 63 of those studies found connections between more stringent gun control laws violent crime and suicide reductions.

The non-profit RAND corporation spent two years and $1 million on the analysis, searching for evidence of benefit from gun control policies. RAND’s analysis looked to establish connections between gun policies and rates of homicide, suicide, self-defense gun use, hunting, and other categories. The vast majority of those categories went unaffected by legislation, however, according to NPR.

“Most of the effects that we were looking for evidence on, we didn’t find any evidence,” Andrew Morral, who lead the analysis.

The United States has 270 million guns and had 90 mass shooters from 1966 to 2012.

No other country has more than 46 million guns or 18 mass shooters.
Gun control has nothing to do with with guns, its all about control

I agreed most gun control laws don't work and why don't they work? The influence of lobbying groups such as the gun lobby, pressure from local gun owners and dealers, and concern for the 2nd amendment causes lawmakers to create huge loopholes in the laws such as the gun shows and private sales exceptions, along with tons of specific exclusions. Secondly, states and local government don't spend money needed to make sure the laws are enforced. They leave enforcement to local police who simply don't have the manpower nor the needed infrastructure to see that the laws are enforced. Gun control certainly does work, just not in this country.

For years, the strategy of the gun lobby is to let government pass gun control but make sure it's ineffective so organizations like the Rand Cooperation can produce studies such as this one.
Na, The breakdown of the traditional American family, affirmative-action, political correctness, socialism, gun free zone’s and frivolous gun control laws are the reasons for violence in this country

Speed limits work. Maybe not perfect - but they work. So do insurance requirements and motor vehicle laws. Seat belts?

really?

How many people do you see on the highway actually driving the speed limit?

In my state it's illegal to talk on a cell phone but everyone behind the wheel has a phone glued to their ear even the fucking cops

It's illegal to text while driving.... need I say more

It's illegal to drive with a blood alcohol level of greater than .08

etc ad infinitum ad nauseum

While a growing protest of lax gun laws has put the NRA in the hot seat, the business leaders responsible for manufacturing millions of guns annually remain unquestioned and unbothered.

Our National Reckoning On Guns Hasn’t Included The Firearm Industry. It Should.

It's time to really start to question and bother the firearms industry.
the people who manufacture guns are no more responsible for what the public does than the people who manufacture alcoholic beverages

Gun control is regulation and laws. Regulations and laws are written because somebody screwed-over someone else. As a responsible gun owner, I have no problem with regulations that makes ALL gun owners responsible.
