If they were smart they would remake an original turkey, and with that they would not have to face the inevitable half empty movie theaters and the venom of critics who are usually correct about as often as a remake is better than the original.
Watch for reputable actors debasing themselves with the up coming remake of "BEN HUR".

The Magnificent 7 was actually a re-make of The Seven Samurai. There aren't really that many new stories, so whining about re-makes is pointless. Just don't go see them.They are also doing a remake of The Magnificent Seven like it needs one.

Audiences are more sophisticated than you give them credit...well...maybe not, but they still don't like to be force fed pc bullshit.
Previous movies have to be remade because political correctness has thoroughly crushed and stamped out any spark of creativity.
Then the movies that were remade fail. The originals had some smidgen of genius. That too is completely obliterated by political correctness.
