occupy wall st will have the same effect as tahrir square

Whatever. You should be whining about the politicians who voted for them, not the corporations who took them.

The corporations who took them also pulled the strings of the politicians who voted for them, which is why they voted for them in the first place.

Yeah like GE, Bowing, labor unions etc...

Some corporations and organizations are living on cloud 9 while others are fucked and are forced to pay for those living on cloud 9.

The new left tax policy is "play ball with us and support us and our unions or we will fuck you in the ass."

Progressives hand out tax exemptions to their crony corporations like water while literally attacking other corporations who go against the establishment...

Nick, clearly you don't understand the meaning of the word "progressive." That being the case, please don't try to inform us what "progressive" politicians are doing. You are identifying as "progressive" politicians who flatly aren't.

Could one of you "wise" progressives explain to me how protesting the bank bailouts that happened three years ago is going to change the situation we're in now? I know most of the kids on the ground in NYC are about as clueless about finance and economics as Geithner and Obama are in Washington but this is idiotic even for them.

To correct the silly nature of the OP.

"Occupy Wall Street" will have no effect of any appreciable kind whatsofuckingever.

The socialist/anarchist/Marxist losers who regret not being alive in the "meaningful days" of the 1960's never make any actual difference. They are just a brainwashed and addled collection of assorted losers getting together to make meaningless noise.

I don't believe that.

Tempest in a teacup.

That's the thing about America...a lesson we learned during the anti-War period of Viet Nam

Citizens can put millions of people on the streets protesting, and our government will ignore them.

these people have no jobs, lost their house, and have no future b/c of the crooks on wall st. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and more are coming. these occupations are popping up in other cities as well

they have no future because they took risks and don't want to be responsible for the consequences of their personal choices.

They were "stupid" because they came with no strings attached.

Whatever. You should be whining about the politicians who voted for them, not the corporations who took them. Who wouldn't take free money with no strings attached?

The same corporations that took them..are the same ones using their money to leverage power.

I suppose you missed the fact that Henry Paulson came out of Goldman.

Like I said, who wouldn't take free money without any strings attached. The question is "why don't you blame the politicians who gave them the money?"

How about banks were forced into lending to people by democrats and "community activists (Sharpton)" who had no intention to pay for their homes...

Community Reinvestment Act and the amendments made under Clinton are responsible for the housing bubble...

CRA had very little to do with the "housing bubble". The elimination of Glass-Steagall, however, had alot to do with it.

Yeah forcing banks to lend to ANY minority or any low income individual had nothing to do with it??

Yeah, I'm also sure that those lazy pricks that got free homes had nothing to do with the financial collapse when they borrowed against their homes and got credit cards and racked up massive amounts of debt buying stupid shit that cant be repossessed (gas, pizza, shoes, alcohol, cigarettes etc).

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about..

Give a democrat an opportunity to rip someone off and they will take it... Democrats will give democrats an opportunity to rip people off in exchange for a vote..

Democrats are scum and the CRA amendments under Clinton only proves that...

Clinton only had a good economy because of the CRA amendments and greedy asshats who never intended on paying off their debts going on spending sprees buying whatever the fuck they wanted regardless if they could afford it or not - because to them all that credit, in which they would have been denied without forced lending was free money to these shit scum.

Why the fuck you think every time you turned on the TV in the late 90's and early to mid 2000's there was always a bankruptcy attorney promising "Ill get you out of your 100k debt for 10k"

News to the economically challenged, getting out of 100k in debt for 10k is bad for the economy - as a matter of fact the economy just lost 90k because someone paid 100k for 100k worth of product from manufacturing all the way up to retail sales.

Who the fuck you believe ate that debt you stupid motherfucker??? oh it was sold down the line until it hit the top and the banks collapsed..

So enjoy your free shit while EVERYONE even the financially responsible have to endure this misery of an economy........

Just remember we're fucked now because democrats wanted to force the banks to lend to poor people and they allowed them to buy whatever they wanted...

Listen commie..you and your hyperbolic demagoguery may play well in your sowing circles but it really gets no traction in serious discussions.

Time after time..you illustrate you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

But do continue your troll fest if it makes ya feel good.

So politicians are not responsible for their actions? They're helpless puppets who do whatever their operators tell them to do?

That kind of makes democracy ridiculous, don't you think?

Because private/public partnerships don't always have a bad outcome. We communicate now over one of the "successes".

The trick is to make it work for everyone.

What the fuck is wrong with you??

Progress is pretty easy to understand. As in "progress" towards Marxism...

Seriously...

"Progressive" is a word you learn in the fucking 3rd grade.

In reality and ironically progressives apparently have no idea as to what "liberal" means.

ROFL! So you don't object to bailing out Wall Street in principle, you only object when they don't play ball with libturd politicians. And, whenever it goes wrong, it's never the politicians' fault, unless they are Republicans, of course.

Here's a clue for you: so-called "private/public partnerships" always have a bad outcome. That's crony capitalism, or fascism, whichever term you prefer.

You just can't accept reality - nor are you willing to accept the truth - you're only interested in championing progressive ideas and towing the party line.

You cant even refute an argument punk...

Not if they shut down Wall Street.

Did they shutdown Wall Street?

I know that some folks are apoplectic that anybody is protesting on wall street, but other than the heartening effect that it is having on some folks, and the ire is is raising in others?

It's really no big deal.

It serves to show our government that some of us understand the cause of the economic meltdown and we're damned pissed about it.

That's about the best thing I can see coming out of it.

It's a good purpose, but it's not going to change our world much.

can't wait for heads to literally start rolling

since there is like NO even stretch for liberal/proggie relativism which could draw an analogy ala wall st and Mubarak Egypt see as just another epic fail in a long line oif epic fails.

There was an argument in there? Yeah..I am sure there was..

It was bashing poor people.

And it was fantasy. No one outside your angry circle jerkers think that the CRA was responsible for the housing bubble.

You can't "shut down" wall street. Heck..no one even has to go to wall street for it to function.

Trust me on this..

They appear to be growing.

A few hundred or even a few thousand protestors will not shut down Wall Street.

How about a few hundred thousand?

Remember when Mubarak said it could never happen in Egypt?

If unemployment is as high next November as it is today, there will be legions protesting the rich parasites that have bought the US Government.

Wow its funny how I came from poor people, yet one parent is a CFO and the other owns a successful audio video business...

We never had food stamps or public aid. I find it funny how they became successful yet those who the government supports go on to do nothing with their lives.

Funny how my parents bought their first home without any help from the government but the lazy cant.

They don't want to work hard.

Yeah in your opinion it should all be handed to you...

You're lazy trash....
