SNIP:

President Obama’s cult of personality and feel-good message of “change” allowed him to sail through the 2008 campaign without being thoroughly vetted by the press. No one took the time to delve into his past and look at his influences, his actions, or his political theory. And when something did come up, the press allowed him to skate on by rather than press him for real information (Jeremiah Wright, anyone?).

Recent guest Stanley Kurtz decided to do what the press failed to do – take an honest look at Obama’s politics. His investigation resulted in Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism. In this episode, Kurtz discusses the many socialist influences in Obama’s life, from his college years to his time as a community organizer, with men such as Bill Ayers, Frank Marshal Davis, and Jeremiah Wright.

In examining Obama’s main mentors, Kurtz begins to see a clear ideology that motivates the President’s disdain for the middle class, take-no-prisoners approach to passing socialized healthcare, reluctance to discuss political theory and desire for, ultimately, a socialist revolution.

Here is the full episode, you won’t want to miss it:

"take-no-prisoners approach to passing socialized healthcare"

yes. because passing a bill that is essentially the same as the republican counter-proposal to Hillarycare is revolutionary

if he was such a socialist as the Op moronically suggests, you would have seen a much stronger Finacial reform bill, where we would of had massive regulations, The breaking up of huge companies, and mass taxation of said companies.

All that has happened is nothing but employing the same wall street people to run things and make sure no reform is to be had. We have had mass deregulation for the past 30 years.

Saying Obama is a socialist is fucking hack.

You gotta crawl before you walk........

My guess is that we would have gotten more progress out of McCain...

...just sayin'

You know, the lefty socialists on this board will say that is just rightwing paranoia because they can't believe that their messiah could be a socialist, but he is.

No it isn't, he is a socialist. Listen to what he says, it is easy to believe. He told Joe the plumber he wanted to spread the wealth, that is socialist thinking.

Obama hasnt even made it out of the primordial ooze.

You finally said something I can agree with

So... i suppose that Francis Bacon was a socialist too?

"Above all things, good policy is to be used that the treasure and moneys in a state be not gathered into few hands. For otherwise a state may have a great stock, and yet starve. And money is like muck, not good except it be spread."
-- Francis Bacon; from 'Of Seditions and Troubles'

or Thomas Jefferson?

"legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property, only taking care to let their subdivisions go hand in hand with the natural affections of the human mind."

or James Madison?

"reduce extreme wealth towards a state of mediocrity and raise extreme indigence towards a state of comfort"

OMG It's a vast socialist conspiracy!!!!

What socialized health care has been passed? I cannot seem to find any such animal.

So you have no idea what mandate implies then.

Fair enough.

The mandates were directed at the tax dollar supported medical insurance industry NOT the health care industry. I'd say with $1.4 trillion tax dollars flowing into the medical insurance industry they need to get with it and reduce rates!! Or face deserved stiff competition from IMPROVED Medicare Single Payer Insurance..... damn right!

Obama:

Let Americans help other Americans!

Republicans:

Let him die!

Hmmm, who has the better message?

Obama and the liberal dems are most certainly socialists. But we also have some in the repub party.

The term “socialism” is misunderstood by many, and the Left spins it as if calling someone a socialist is a personal attack. They do this to avoid serious discussion of socialism’s impact.

There are two components to socialism. It’s a philosophy that government owes to everyone in society a certain standard of living. It includes government-provided or subsidized food, housing, education, and health care.

Socialism provides entitlements through massive taxation ( 2.2 trillion a year by 53% of the population and spends 3.5 trillion), and socialists believe that heavy government regulation leads to a better society. The ideology does all this in the name of “social justice.”

No honest person can deny that President Obama’s policies fit these criteria. Government-run healthcare (and calling it a fundamental right, despite the fact that it’s nowhere mentioned in the Constitution), federal control of education, government picking winners and losers in the economy–these policies are textbook socialism.

History repeatedly shows that free markets work over time, and socialism does not. But we don’t need to plumb the depths of world history. We have our own recent history.

Since Obamacare, employers have reported that they will have to drop insurance policies covering tens of millions of Americans, and Medicaid spending will increase by $434 billion by 2020.

After (partially) bailing out the housing market, housing remains a depressed and failing sector, and Fannie and Freddie have the gall to ask for $6 billion in additional taxpayer money while paying $13 million in bonuses to their executives.

And this administration deludes itself that it knows how to invest in business. Thus, it gives $535 million in loan guarantees to Solyndra as a good investment, only to see the company promptly go bankrupt.

Let me put the two words together for you.

Individual mandate. It may not be the plan you want but it has social engineering all over it.

Does everyone here have to lead you to water?
