The discord between the executive and legislative branches of our government has reached new highs (or lows, depending on one's perspective.)

On the legislative side (which, for the GOP, is itself divided) we hear that the president is refusing to work with them.....However, true or not, how could any president work with a congress that, from day one, has sworn to first do everything to make that president a one-termer, and, second, a congress whose many members still refuse to even acknowledge the legitimacy of the president to even hold that office?

This man's hypocrisy is unbelievable. Anyone remember what he said about President Bush's activities when HE was a Senator (at least, in name only)?

Cite another instance where, the week after the election, the opposition party (McConnell et al) met to ensure that the president would be a one-termer and that everything should be done to undermine the executive branch....

As MLK once stated, "let no man pull you so low as to hate him.."

Obama doesn't work with Congress, he simply makes law without them.

If by making "law" you mean executive orders, please bear in mind that GWB had 297, while Obama has 203....

The Quality of the executive orders are what matters, not the Quantity.

Executive Orders are supposed to remain within the Law already passed by Congress.

Now fuck off you dumb ****.

And its not as though President Obama has a choice.

The right has used Obama as an excuse for their anti-America actions, or INactions.

They have fought against job creation, economic recovery, immigration reform etc etc etc etc etc.

Meanwhile, President Obama has created jobs, deported illegals, increased Border Patrol and, we've seen our economy get stronger every day.

Imagine how much more he could have accomplished if the right had not worked so hard to sabotage our country.

Long before the Iran letter, it was obvious the Repubs are traitors to their own country.

Because the President told us that elections have consequences. Since his 6 years did nothing but destroy the democrat majority one would think Obama would get the message that the people sent.

Maybe if Obama had worked with Republicans from the beginning, Obamacare, things would now be different. But he and the democrats choose to be adversaries when in the majority and now that they are no they bemoan that the Republicans are doing what they did. Hypocrites.

There are some things they both did that I really didn't like. You don't need to know much about Obama to understand that he has been a divisive President, and has pissed off a lot of conservatives. Congress is heavily partisan, so not going to get a less divided America from them either.

And, of course, your psychiatrist told you that you're qualified to discern quality from quantity, right, dingbat???

As Luddly very ably has shown (above posts) Obama has been extremely apt in improving the economy and millions of people are benefitting from Obamacare.....

Repubs (and dems) in congress are ONLY concerned about their own selfish seats and since they are whores for hire, they'll side with whomever agrees to be their pimp.....as long as they have money.

My biggest "criticism" of Obama.....and not one of his doing......is that for many, many right wingers (not all, mind you) the fact that a half black individual is occupying the WH is way too much for them to stomach.

Obama's election has brought out what was laying dormant in many right wingers; hearts.....bigotry and racism has now been loosened upon our country......and until this moronic white supremacy dies out, we'll have to live with it.

The Supreme Court has ruled unanimously against Obama's push for greater powers over 13 times since 2012.

One of the biggies is when Obama made all the recess appointments and the SCOTUS bitch slapped him silly over that.

You mean the very SAME SCOTUS who gave the presidency to GWB???? What a shocker!

Did you expect anything else? Such just confirms that the right wing congress will NEVER work with Obama on his appointments.....now you can rewrite the Constitution and say that a black president should NOT be allowed to appoint anyone....Maybe THAT will then please you, don't you think?

As usual the dems and the media were lying about what exactly Mitch McConnell said in that regard. McConnell stated that if Obama pursed certain policies and refuse to work with Congress he would be a one term President.

Those "certain policies" that McConnell and his cadre did NOT like were exactly the policies that Obama ran on AND got elected....

So, the "translation" would be that McConnell was going to oppose just about all of Obama's policies.
