Obama visits Stonehenge

Look in the history books and you will find early christians destroying Pagan shrines and other religious buildings

Nice attempt at deflection.

But see, you brought up the Muzzies with regard to destroying things.

Actually that would be you. Post 6. In a thread that has nothing whatsoever to do with "Muzzies".

To wit:
Bet the Muzzies would love to help him demolish it, too.

Illiteracy is bliss.

No conspiracy theory about trying to contact aliens? What has become of USMB?

Generally speaking, the Christians grew out of such things.

Muslims like the Taleban, however, are still stuck in Juvenile Mode, with a 7th Century A.D. aftertaste.

The Christians just ran out of stuff to destroy....
Yeah... back in the 400s and 500s, once they'd trashed the last of the Roman and Greek and Egyptian pagan temples... some 1500 or 1600 years ago.

The Taliban committed their act of Cultural Genocide, directed against Buddhists, within the past 20 years or so.

Rather like comparing a Cro Magnon man against a Neanderthal.

Or, maybe in the case of the Afghan Taliban, it was an apples-to-apples Neanderthals-only comparison, after all.

It does not matter if their is a huge time difference it was done and no one can claim the high ground. It is a shame that the destruction occurs, but again, it is nothing new...

There's that damned time-insensitive Moral Relativism again.

Sorry... that just doesn't cut it.

If you want to compare Christian behaviors versus Muslim behaviors in the modern age, you must confine yourself to the modern age.

Which you won't, mostly because 'your side' (Muslims) will come off looking much the worse for wear.

And you don't seem able to abide that.

It's widely noticed, and taken into account, by a great many here, I suspect.

Some organized religions are far more problematic than others, in our present age.

Time period isn't what they have in common, is it? But obviously they do very much share a commonality.

Ever wonder what's discussed on Muslim-populated message boards when an Eric Rudolph or a Tim McVeigh or a Scott Roeder does his thing? :eusa_think:

Some organized religions are far more problematic than others, in our present age.

And the preface to that of course, staying in paraphrase, is -- they're all created equal, in terms of human nature and the power of power corruption.
