Stopping a depression: The country never went into depression nor was there really a risk of doing so. What he did do was plunge our children into debt that even the CBO is warning is unsustainable. He took a recession that we historically should have recovered quickly from and became stronger and made it the weakest and longest recovery in history, along with the debt.

Passing Obamacare: Purely party line vote that he had to buy off some of his
own party to get passed. Not hard to get what you want when you can buy people off, and we know all democrats are suseptible to "Corn Husker Kicbacks."

Gay rights: Meaningless to the majority of Americans.

Killing bin Laden: Show the proof. bin Laden died of kidney failure long before the show. Good to see you celebrate death.

Kids, this is what advanced Obama Derangement Syndrome looks like in its terminal phase.

You create your own reality.

Now one must wonder what the democrats were offered to change their vote. This is pure American political BS. Nothing in the "agreement" has changed so why are the those opposing the deal changing their vote? Only one real reason, pay off. The corn husker kick back is alive and well.

This "agreement" will be hailed as a great accomplishment meanwhile it will be like a boil on your ass. Put a little ointment on it and it feels a little better yet it is just getting worse waiting to burst. Nothing good can come out of appeasing a sworn enemy who has already told us what they will do with the money, military build up and they will continue to fund terrorism. WTF is Obama trying to get the US military complex into business with Iran? But as usual when the boil pops Obama will be long gone and it will be blame on others.

The die is cast. Obabble opened a bucket of worms and there's no putting them back. The other five nations are voting their interest...could care less about US and Israeli view. Get ready for all out war in the ME...and a real leader to clean up the mess in 2017. A few million or more will have to die...but that's what happens when morons rule.

I doubt there wil be all out war. Iran will never be powerful enough, even if Obama served another term and weakened the military. So what will happen is death by a thousand cuts. Anyone reading the newspaper can see that Europe is being invaded by Muslims. Iran has already told us that they will go on a military buildup and continue funding terrorism. This isn't made up it is what their PM said.

We would be better off with no deal then to make a deal with admitted terrorists. But I am thinking that big business is tired of seen Russia and China getting Iranian money.

CBO:The Stimulus Saved Jobs
Politics
Aug 312011

With all the criticism of Obama’s performance on the economy, and reaffirming my own dissatisfaction with several facets of it, I have to admit that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), aka the stimulus, even grossly watered down by concessions to Republicans trying to prevent recovery, kept us from being far worse off than we would be, had it not been done. The bikini graph does not lie, and neither does the CBO.

BikiniGraph.jpg

According to a new report from the nonpartisan CBO, the stimulus saved up to 2.9 million jobs:

A new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report estimates that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) increased the number of people employed by between 1.0 million and 2.9 million jobs as of June.

But then again since Iran has vowed to keep funding terrorism, and I assume at a greater extent once they have their 120 billion, who knows what country they will invade through terrorism.

Hmm, Iraq, Syria?

If the evil Iranians fund hezbollah to fight ISIS that's indeed terrible, Assad could stay in power and then the pipeline will never get build.

Good thing that the freedom loving Saudis have much more $$$ so it should be no problem for them to counter the Iranian terrorist sponsoring.

CBO report forecasts unsustainable debt in long term

Ben Nelson’s “Cornhusker Kickback,” as the GOP is calling it, got all the attention Saturday, but other senators lined up for deals as Majority Leader Harry Reid corralled the last few votes for a health reform package.

Nelson’s might be the most blatant – a deal carved out for a single state, a permanent exemption from the state share of Medicaid expansion for Nebraska, meaning federal taxpayers have to kick in an additional $45 million in the first decade.

But another Democratic holdout, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), took credit for $10 billion in new funding for community health centers, while denying it was a “sweetheart deal.” He was clearly more enthusiastic about a bill he said he couldn’t support just three days ago.

Nelson and Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) carved out an exemption for non-profit insurers in their states from a hefty excise tax. Similar insurers in the other 48 states will pay the tax.

Vermont and Massachusetts were given additional Medicaid funding, another plus for Sanders and Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) Three states – Pennsylvania, New York and Florida – all won protections for their Medicare Advantage beneficiaries at a time when the program is facing cuts nationwide.

All of this came on top of a $300 million increase for Medicaid in Louisiana, designed to win the vote of Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu.

Has Osama Bin Laden been dead for seven years - and are the U.S. and Britain covering it up to continue war on terror?

Obama searched the world for a left handed tall Arab and found, killed, and then buried him in one day. And all we have is the government's word for it. No promised pictures, no nothing.

At this point, what does Iran have to gain by secretly resurrecting their nuclear weapons program?

More sanctions?

The whole bomb thing was just a mouse that roared scenerio. One designed to scare everyone into thinking we need to deal with the sponsors of terrorism. Other then a suitcase nuke, which they still could get with 5000 spinning centrafuges we have very little to fear from Iran having a bomb they couldn't possiblly use. That is if we had strong leadership.

But terrorism, that hits home pretty quickly and Iran has promised to keep on funding terrorism and with 120 billion who knows what can be bought. Along with a better military then they have today.

So what they get is to keep enriching uranium, money to sponsor terrorism and a military buiild up and what does the world get? Well for one thing more trade so big business is happy and more terrorism and a false sense of relief over Iran not building a bomb. Just like we did with Korea.
Actually no

They are enriching uranium right now under the Republican endorsed plan. They are much closer to a bomb TODAY than they will be a year from now
They can support terrorism whether they have a nuke program or not....it does not cost much

Why will they still have 5000 centrifuges spinning? What would you be doing if you were a sponsor of terrorism and wished for the destruction of a people? Or at least SAID you do?
They do not have enough to produce the level of enriched uranium to produce a bomb......they do now

Why do you insist on keeping them?

So, since for about all of the last 10 years it has been democrat rule we can blame Obama for the mess in the first place? This deal is made to fix his failed foreign policy?

So let's go ahead a pass it and feel real good about ourselves. I am sure we can feel just as good as Chamberlain felt when he shook Hitler's hand.
Actually, the mess has been going on for sixty years when Eisenhower got involved

Your solution is allow them to continue on the current path which gets them a bomb within a year. Obama delays development for at least ten years and maybe never

Blame George W. Bush for Iran Deal

Today is the worst day of the George W. Bush administration. The deal U.S. President Barack Obama has struck with Iran to curb its nuclear weapons program amounts to a pragmatic recognition that Iran has joined the U.S. as a crucial regional player not just in the Persian Gulf but also in the whole Middle East. Iran's rise wouldn't have been possible -- and the deal wouldn't have been necessary -- had the U.S. not unleashed Iran from the regional power that did the most to contain it: Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

Blame George W. Bush for Iran Deal - Bloomberg View

GwjzQ26.png

On Iran’s nuclear program, Bush administration strategy was to rally the international community to confront the Iranian regime with a strategic choice. Tehran could transparently and verifiably give up its pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability, especially its enrichment facility at Natanz. If it did, the international community would respond with substantial diplomatic, economic and security benefits. These would include the relaxation of existing economic sanctions and active international support for a truly peaceful civilian nuclear program, including the supply of nuclear fuel so Iran would not need an enrichment facility. If it rejected this choice, the regime would only be further isolated diplomatically, incur increased economic sanctions, and run the risk of military action.

The George W. Bush Administration | The Iran Primer

George Bush who? Which one are they blaiming this time?

Remember the Iraq war was voted on by Congress, so is Mrs. Clinton also responsible.

How would Iraq keep Iran from building nuclear reactors? They engaged in wars with neither side winning or even giving up much ground.

10 years after the democrat take over, 6 1/2 years of Obama's rule and Bush is still the scape goat. Man that takes a lot of denial.

Seems to me that the fear being spread last year in preparation for this "deal" was that Iran was going to have a bomb any day. They are still real far from having a bomb your predictions hold no water.

Wow, guy, you really don't understand what was going on at Munich, did you?

Anyway, not going to correct your historical ignorance.

Fact is, this is as good of a deal as we are going to get, and it doesn't stop us from bombing in the future if Iran violates the agreement.

But then again since Iran has vowed to keep funding terrorism, and I assume at a greater extent once they have their 120 billion, who knows what country they will invade through terrorism.

Iran has a 1.5 Trillion dollar economy. the 120 billion of their own assets won't make that much of a difference.

Again, guy, you are 10 times more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist, so maybe you need to stop wetting your pants over it.

Until the people kicked out the democrats last November it was all them since 2006. Obama has been ruling for 6 1/2 years and the US and the world is a mess. I am not sure where I am in error historically but I guess you don't really need evidence you just say it and it is so, much like Obama.

At the same time, the CBO said that, because of a range of policies enacted by President Obama and Congress, plus the general recovery of the economy, the 2014 deficit of 3 percent of GDP would be the lowest since 2007.

...

Obama has been willing in the past to trade entitlement changes for increased taxes on the wealthy. But some Democrats on Capitol Hill have been far less interested than the White House in floating entitlement changes.

Republicans, on the other hand, say they’re unwilling to consider any further tax increases after the fiscal cliff deal that materialized 18 months ago.

“I can’t explain the Republican position,” said Rep. Sandy Levin (Mich.), the top Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee. “I’m not sure they have any kind of long-term strategy. I’m not sure what their strategy is.”

“It is my hope our friends on the other side of the aisle will abandon their misguided political opposition and heed this dire warning to work together to reform and strengthen the entitlement programs for our seniors and future generations,” Sen. Orrin Hatch (Utah), the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said in a statement. “The time for courage is now.”

Democrats did take some heart in the lowered projections for how much the federal government would spend on major healthcare programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid, in 2039.

The CBO’s projections are now about 1.5 percent of gross domestic product lower than in 2010 — or equal to roughly $250 billion in today’s dollars.

Doug Elmendorf, the CBO’s director, said in September that the office’s projections for Medicare and Medicaid spending between 2010 and 2020 had dropped roughly $1.2 trillion over a three-year span. Broader economic and fiscal changes have largely driven that development, though the Affordable Care Act could have also played a role.

Deficits would remain relatively restrained, between 2.5 percent and 3 percent of GDP, between 2015 and 2018, the office added.

Once again...Obama wins and Republicans lose

Getting to be a habit

Once again Obama has to buy of his own party. Obama may win but we know that the country loses. His winning doesn't mean it is a good deal. Have you told your children lately how much debt Obama has heaped upon them?

Please explain your alternate reality if Republicans scuttle this treaty

What happens next?

More right wing bullshit...

The Extended-Baseline Scenario is the trajectory Obama and the Democrats put us on. If Congress does nothing the Extended-Baseline Scenario is already in place.

IF the Bush tax cuts don't expire and the AHA is not fully implemented or repealed the The Alternative Fiscal Scenario is the trajectory Teapublicans will take us if they gain enough power.

the CBO lays it out perfectly clear...CRYSTAL.

cbo-long-term-budget-outlook-debtgdp-2000-2037.png

The chart shows 2 scenarios. For all practical purposes, you can call the Extended-Baseline Scenario the Democrat scenario and the Alternative Fiscal Scenario the Teapublican scenario.

The Extended-Baseline Scenario adheres closely to current law. Under this scenario, the expiration of the tax cuts enacted since 2001 and most recently extended in 2010, the growing reach of the alternative minimum tax, the tax provisions of the recent health care legislation, and the way in which the tax system interacts with economic growth would result in steadily higher revenues relative to GDP.

The Alternative Fiscal Scenario
The budget outlook is much bleaker under the alternative fiscal scenario, which incorporates several changes to current law that are widely expected to occur or that would modify some provisions of law that might be difficult to sustain for a long period. Most important are the assumptions about revenues: that the tax cuts enacted since 2001 and extended most recently in 2010 will be extended; that the reach of the alternative minimum tax will be restrained to stay close to its historical extent; and that over the longer run, tax law will evolve further so that revenues remain near their historical average of 18 percent of GDP. This scenario also incorporates assumptions that Medicare’s payment rates for physicians will remain at current levels (rather than declining by about a third, as under current law) and that some policies enacted in the March 2010 health care legislation to restrain growth in federal health care spending will not continue in effect after 2021.

You do realize the difference between debt and deficit? Your response seems to indicate to me that you do not. I don't mean that as an insult many people do not understand the difference or mix the two. Yes, since all of the big Banks and car companies have been bailed out the deficit (amount spent over the amount taken in) has decreased. But the debt (how much you own) is still increasing.

Seems to me that the fear being spread last year in preparation for this "deal" was that Iran was going to have a bomb any day. They are still real far from having a bomb your predictions hold no water.
Actually, they have about three quarters of the enriched uranium they need

Your way allows them to keep it....how can that be better?
