I pay premiums. We've switched health care from Oxford to United to Blue Cross. Every switch, premiums went up..deductables went up..benefits went down. This all happened under Bush. My 401k lost over 60K..that happened under Bush too. My Co-op taxes shot up to 18%. That happened under Bush. My company went public..50% of the work force got canned, our bonuses went down 75% and we haven't gotten raises for 5 or so years..that was all under Bush. Oh..and they got rid of the pensions...

It is a little. With the craptacular economy Bush brought us..it's a little hard to concentrate. But to sum up:

Taxes went down under Obama. I thought that's been shown.

Also the deficit from 2009 to 2010..went down.

come on sallow, reducing the rate of withholding without reducing the actual tax rates will NOT lower taxes

all it does is either lower your tax return or increase the amount you will have to pay in on tax day in april

If the Bush tax cuts for people making over 200,000 expire, a person making 250,000 dollars a year will owe less than 300 dollars more than they did last year.

A person making 250k a year at 35 percent will pay approx 87K in taxes, with no withholdings. Of course that all changes with amount of dependents, write offs etc. A person making 250k a year at 39.6 percent will pay approx 98k in taxes. It will be substantially more than 300 bucks. And of course the AMT comes in to kick your ass too.

Just who in this favored land pays established rate? That rate is AFTER deductions and there is no one who knows ho to write off deductions like a rich guys lawyer.

I used to be in the 28% bracket. I never, ever paid more than 21%. Actual. And one year Bush paid 7% less than I did.
