Obama is Officially Held in Contempt Over Drilling “Permitorium”

Nevertheless willingly and knowingly violating a federal court order and willingly and knowingly defying the constitution as ruled by the court is a violation of the presidential oath of office and that is lying under oath.

This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Using your reasoning, every legislator who ever voted in favor of any law that was ultimately proven unconstitutional should have been impeached, as well as every president who signed said laws. That would mean that Bush should have been impeached for his constitutional failings.

Slow down, relax, and re read my post you quoted. It speaks the direct opposit of what your false logic claims it does.

Bush and the Republicans are the cause of a failed economy and the deaths of thousands of Americans and the maiming of tens of thousands of Americans ruining countless lives and they pray Obama goes to jail for stopping foreign companies from drilling for oil only a short time after a foreign oil company devastated our entire gulf coast.

Is that about right?

If the GOP was smart they wouldn't even think about trying to get Obama impeached. Not only would it not go through, but it would make them look awful. They were voted in to govern, and actually try to fix things. Going back to the way they were in the 90's under Clinton (who had a MUCH MUCH more impeachable offense), wont work. Impeaching him wont get the public's mind off the deficit, or the economy. I know people aren't happy with Obama-but the American people voted him in. Like it or not-he's our president, and will continue to be until at least 2012. So if the GOP was smart they'd start putting forward bills in the house that address the issues the the American people care about (and voted them in to fix)-not this silliness.

Then again our congress is so dumb I bet they're going to waste time on Rodger Clemens over lying about using steroids which affects exactly 0 people watching it-instead of tackling the real issues. It's a shame.

Uh, no. But at least you're consistent.

I wonder if contempt of court qualifies as high crimes and misdemeanors. I am not positive it does.

Me either. It is not even a criminal offense, and Obama is far from the first president to ignore a court order he did not like. I don't recall anyone else ever being impeached for it.

Tell you what, you find a judge that ordered Bush to stop the wars and you might actually have a point. As it is, you just sound stupid.

It's the same court that put the initial ban on the initial ban on deep water drilling. It is basically a suit to reimburse the legal fees of the companies that fought the ban. It's findings are a bit suspect and will likely be challenged.

Sorry no Ken Star (porn novelist) moment. GOPers.

How about where an offical of the Bush Administrtion defies a court order?

As I have already pointed out, presidents have been doing this for years. Nothing is going to happen to Obama as a result. Maybe you whould take off your partisan blinders for a bit.

GOPers? Most of us are saying that this doesnt come close to impeachable and that we shouldnt do it anyway.

Im fairly confident that there were no judicial orders to stop the wars against Bush or any ofificials.

There has been a movement to impeach Obama from the day he took office!!! Give it up. He won the election fair and square. Get over it.

And besides the Court doesn't hold the power to tell a President to stop a war. That power resides in the Congress.
