RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - General Election: Romney vs. Obama

You do realize that Romney has already lost this election? It's fun watching the days go by and the realization of Romney and the Republican party's demise starts to sink in on the right wingers. Hahahaha.

No, Romney hasn't lost anything. Be ready to swallow your arrogance come november.

Really I was not even aware a single vote had been cast or counted well shit I guess we should just call this election off In November maybe we can do this the way Sadam used to do it in Iraq just hand out ballots with his name already checked. Oh and you do realize that you completely ignored the fact that the Obama bounce is starting to fade.

The polls just keep going up and up for Obama after the grand slam DNC! :eusa_clap: :clap2:

Gallup Presidential Election Trial Heat Results: Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney

Another manipulated national poll--meaning OVER POLLING democrats to republicans--and leaving lots of other things out of the poll. They did this during the Carter/Reagan race also. And they do it for a reason--if polls showed that Obama was already BLOWN out of this race--no one would donate another dime to his campaign. So the national polls are going to keep it close until just a couple of days from the election--and then they'll start giving you the real numbers.

CNN is grabbing political headlines tonight with the release of its latest poll. It shows Obama surging to a 6-point lead over Romney, 52-46, among likely. Before the start of the Democrat convention, the candidates had been tied in the poll. Since it purportedly confirms a narrative the media is trying to build, i.e. that Obama is starting to pull away with the race, it is getting wide coverage. However, there are a couple of strange things within the poll that cast doubt on its veracity. And, at least one concern warrants a response from CNN.

First, this being a media poll, it has an obvious skew towards Democrats. The partisan breakdown is (D/R/I) 50/45/5. It perhaps isn’t surprising that Obama is leading a D+5 poll by 6 points. Throughout the campaign season, Obama’s margin usually is very close to the partisan skew in the sample. It is surprising, though, that Independents make up only 5% of the sample. Tellingly, Romney leads this group by 14 points.

What you have to do is do what the campaigns do--look at the INTERNAL polling data to get a clear view of what is going on.

Obama has a 60+% disapproval rating on his handling of the economy and deficit.

Blacks--Hispanics and the Youth vote are no longer "in love" with Obama and he will not receive the vote he got in 2008.

The August 2012 jobs report is HORRIBLE.

Medium household incomes have dropped over $4000.00 since Obama took office.

And finally--a University of Colorado study--based on historic data--has already called this race for Romney--and they have been right since 1980.

Furthermore--everyone is talking about how great Bill Clinton's speech was--as was his convention speech in 2004 for John Kerry--and when they wake up the next morning and realize he's not running for President--they're stuck with the "community organizer"--whatever that is--they'll move more to Romney.

Gallup uses a 7 day tracking, so it will miss developments. It is also teh outlier.

Romney needs to keep slamming Obama on the economy.

The polls mean nothing right now.

Any bounce is already fading (for those who haven't pissed in their own eyes and can see) and the race is still a dead heat.

The polls mean nothing right now? Are you nuts? The polls are extremely important right now as it's showing that the american people are not impressed with Willard and what the GOP has to offer with barely having a blip in the polls after the RNC, but they have been skyrocketing for Obama after the DNC as they completely hit it out of the park.

Is the Rasmussen poll showing Romney ahead by 1 important? Or is it only polls that show what you want them to that are important?

Gallup Presidential Election Trial Heat Results: Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney

And Rasmussen has Romney up one. One or both of these two polls are very skewed and wrong. It could well be both are wrong and Obama's lead is actually around three points. Give it another week or two to smooth out and we'll get a better idea as other polls are taken. It's interesting that yesterday Fox had Obama up five.

It's because rasmussen is the fox news of polls and not credible.
