Read somewhere that NY mayor planned on taking property away from bad landlords trying to force tenants out so they can charge more for the places in rent control places.
How can they pay such high rates for rent and still afford to work a minimum wage job. Even if the wage is $15 an hour it's still not enough to pay those rents. And if you live outside of town you have to pay something like $10.00 in tolls or fares and spend an hour or longer in transit to get to work. No way in Hell I would live in NY.

Some teenager calls in sick to McDonald's or Home Depot. The manager in an attempt to fill that void calls several off duty employees to get someone to come in. BAM, new law violation.
