The NYPD is honing in on migrant pickpocketing crews that are now working the Big Apple — with nearly 100 asylum seekers already popping up on the NYPD radar, law enforcement sources tell The Post.

One particularly sticky-fingered trio was nabbed over the weekend after allegedly picking pockets at three separate Greenwich Village watering holes in under 30 minutes, according to the sources.

“It’s been happening all the time here,” one staffer at the Red Lion on Bleeker Street told The Post. “The last few months it’s been intense. Maybe they spread the word, I don’t know. It’s on Friday and Saturday when it’s busy.

“They work as a team,” she said. “It’s creepy.”

So if they get arrested…. No ID, no social security number, no home or work address. And probably out on no bail without ICE being called....Nice system they got there.

Hey, I know! Put 'em to work for the IRS, then they will be legal pickpockets.

Mayor Giuliani had a strategy to combat this, based on the "Broken Windows" theory of policing. Throw the book at them.

Lord knows there is enough video surveillance in place to identify the bastards and apprehend them. But what good does that do when everyone knows there will be no serious repercussions?

Did no one document the illegals being released all over the country? Facial recognition software works pretty good. And why can't a computer program AI or whatever be used to process these people within minutes at the border. If they don't have documentations send them back.

The West should do what the Arabs do, chop a hand off for stealing. The West needs meaningful deterrents for crime.

He did the "stop and frisk" approach, which is totally illegal, and resulted on at least half a dozen murders of innocent unarmed people by unmarked police gangs.
The most obvious of which was Amadou Diallo.
The police were guilty or murder.
Amadou was unarmed and had done nothing remotely illegal, and in fact was handing over his wallet because he though the undercover police were a gang of robbers, holding him up.

Once a person has only 1 hand, stealing is all they can do any more.
We stopped that hundreds of years ago because it was proven to increase crime.
All harsh penalties do is make witnesses a good thing to get rid of.
