Number Of Americans On Food Stamps Plummets By Nearly 1.5 Million Since Trump Took Office

if its even true, it would be because they cut funding, dumbass... not because of a diminishing need.

idiota

breitbard.

Actually it was a lot of things. Much of it were the Republican Governors who put qualifications to get or remain on food stamps. Take Maine for instance. You either had to have a job working at least 20 hours a week, be enrolled in a vocational program, or volunteer at least 20 hours a month. This applied to food stamp recipients who were without children. Guess what happened? That's right, most of those people were not that hungry in the first place. They dropped out of the program.

Thanks obama and his booming economy .
Sorry, you blamed Trump for the jobs report last month. It’s a Trump economy, Dufus.
This democrat was asking Ben Carson for how much he was cutting hud. The poor are going to suffer massive cuts under trump but I'm not complaining. Too many people comfortable with hud. What about a world where hud isn't necessary? If you want housing work.

HUD doesn't bother me as much. What bothers me is HUD getting homes in the suburbs. These lowlifes come here and destroy a nice neighborhood. They are dirty and up all night making noise. They don't belong here.

If I have to give these people housing, let them have housing in the inner-city, not the suburbs. People in the suburbs have to get up for work in the morning.

Pray tell... to what do you attribute this drop in the welfare rolls?

1.5 million more people with jobs?

1.5 million more people stripped off the rolls whether they were able to work or not?

What brilliant Trumpian Economic Strategy was employed to give all 1.5 million of them jobs?

I mean... specifically... in the singular or in the plural.
Y'all are amazing. Everybody shouts, yells, and stamps their feet ... but nobody bothers to actually look into the situation. It's called 'research', people! Try it some time.

Newsweek says the drop is because of the increase in jobs, the growth in the economy, and states removing waivers to the three month limit. - all directly attributable to the Trump economic maneuvering.

The number of people on food stamps is falling. Here's why

Partisans are a HOOT

It's a breibart article ! You can't get more partisan .

And I bet you can't prove it wrong.

Yes . Notice the article only gives you the stats since Trump has been in office ? Why not stats from say obamas last year into Trumps first????

Oh, cause you would see a consistent down ward pattern ! Can't give obama ANY cred.

No, because like what was said, the Republicans have been cutting food stamps--not DumBama. I hand the success to the Republican Congress and Republican Governors who instituted the requirements.

The gov of Maine has been there since 2011.

It's the economy stupid . Stamps rise when people are out of work. Makes sense don't it ?

Food stamps peaked in 2013 and have been dropping since .

Wow! Trump went back in time and made this happen !

Food-Stamp Use Starting to Fall

Good work. You posted an article that nobody can read unless they are subscribed.

Oh. Must had a one time freebie . Worked for me .

I gots another link .

Okay, so it dropped 2 million people in three years. The Republicans were in charge of Congress at that time. Look again at what happened after we regained leadership in the Senate. And again, Republican Governors were working on the problem long before Trump even thought of running.

Obama had nothing to do with it.

According to PROGS...that means 1.5 million people died of starvation in the USA this year.

WoW!!

Why is our death by starvation rate #119, .58 per 100,000 people every year.

That means 1 person dies of starvation for every 200,000 people in the USA...or 1,600 per year.

Looks like SOME people CAN SURVIVE without FOOD STAMPS.....WHO KNEW?

No, people don't have to be out of work to get food stamps. They just have to keep their income levels down. In fact a majority of recipients were or are working during their usage.

The wealthy are moving into the cities, when they moved out was due to manufacturing, and now they want them back.

What does the wealthy have to do with HUD? HUD has been targeting nice areas to destroy for years. That's why they need their budget drastically cut. People will still have housing, just not housing in the suburbs or other nice areas. Then maybe we can get some sleep at night without having to be woken up by non-working lowlifes.

You want to credit DumBama? Fine, show us his policy that's responsible for the reduction of food stamps.
