Not Good For Obama: New Rassmussen Poll Has Obama 41%---Ron Paul 37%

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRAMdUNo2Cg]‪Obama One Term Proposition: "I Will Be Held Accountable"‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

When President Obama took office in 2009, he told us that he "will be held accountable."

The liberals on this board are delusional. They really think Americans are happy with the way things are.

Liberals are the ones counting on an uninformed public. The grandstanding is a playground of Obama.

Remember when Mondale lost that landslide election to Ronny Raygun? I recall some woman saying after the election: "Gosh, I don't know anyone who voted for Reagan!"

I see moments like that for the Democrat Party after the 2012 elections. You Liberals keep your keep your in the sand and the Country will be just fine.

Do you remember how inspiring Mondale was in that campaign? "Where's the beef...giggle"

The field of GOP candidates remind me of Mondale and Dukakis. No real base, no passion, no enthusiasm = DULL

Honestly, this is one of the weakest fields of candidates I have ever seen. If Romney or Perry don't find a spark soon, they will be slaughtered

Wishful thinking there pal. How many presidents were reelected with these dismal economic numbers, especially after having passed the costliest piece of legislation that achieved zero of its stated goals.

The fact is the Republicans could put Mickey Mouse on the ballot and beat Obama.

You keep telling yourself the economy isn't important.

Obama's entire premise is that it would be worse, and no one is buying it anymore. Keep telling yourself the polls are wrong.

FDR had the worst economic conditions in history and was reelected three times. Why? Because the public knew that he was not the cause of the Depression and that the Republicans had no magic pill to fix things. The Republicans also had no name candidates to run against FDR

Just like today

I welcome the Republicans to choose Ron Paul or Rudy G as their standard-bearer

No....Obama is not in trouble if that's the best the GOP can do

Right winger Why do you support Obama so much?
what has he done for this country and your child's future that you feel that Ron Paul and or Rudy cannot do a better job?
Your next president is going to be Rick Perry or the senator from Florida
Marco Rubio

Heres an example of what Im talking about the right being like metal patients on the wrong medication.

Telling someone their candidate choice is unelectable to them is supporting the side who can win.

Most of the candidates he likes havent a chance in hell of winning even the top ticket in the R party let alone a general election.

Im am so very tired of people mixing up reality with their own personal wishes.

Covered in multiple other threads

For the GOP: Ron Paul, Rudy G, Cain, Palin, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich are jokes...nobody will vote for them

Romney and Perry are the only serious candidates and both have unenthusiastic backing. Rubio is going to make a nice speech at the GOP convention and get ready for 2016

It is so early. To be making these bold predictions shows you have absolutely no clue what your talking about.

The question is: Are you better off now than you were four years ago. Answer: Resounding NO!!!

The left is in a fantasy world, desperately shielding themselves from the bleak political realities facing this one-term president.

Better off than four years ago?

Four years ago we were in a major recession GDP was negative in five of the last six quarters.......GDP has been positive for seven straight quarters now

Four years ago the stock market was in a panic and dropped over 7000 points. It has since gone up 5500 points

Four years ago we were losing 700,000 jobs a month. We have had positive job growth for over a year

Four years ago, the banks and auto companies were near collapse. They are now on solid financial footing and making a profit

Why would anyone want to return to the government of four years ago?

You have demonstrated the extent of your delusion.

Obama is not FDR. The circumstances of the 1930's is not comparable to the 2010's. There was no television, presidents could run for a unlimited number of terms. FDR was the closest thing America ever had to a dictator, so there are some comparisons that can be made to the man-child president we have now.

FDR and Obama both have the same respect for the constitution, none.

Keep telling yourself Obama will win because FDR did

Tell that to the air traffic controllers in the Reagan era. You know what weakness is right?

So you are saying American are moronic enough to be fololed by some symbolic granstanding because we all know Reagan doubled the National debt.

Reagan more than tripled the national debt to get out of his economic crisis

Reagan had the presidency alone. The Democrats held Congress, so how is responsible for the national budget. You obviously, like your president, fail to understand how the branches of government work.

Also under Obama "the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan." Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov)

Why isn't it working now?

You know the left is in trouble when they are invoking Reagan to prove a point :clap2:

Given the respect that historians give FDR as a US President, you have demonstrated who is delusional. You show the typical rightwing trait of if you don't like history....rewrite it and discredit the historians

Ron Paul is a perennial also-ran who is only even in the primaries because he has a huge cult following that throws money at him.

They show up big in phone polls and Internet blogs

When it comes to actually pulling a lever for Ron Paul, they are a non-factor
