The cartoon below is such an INCREDIBLE EUPHEMISM for America's current political situation. I see Bugs as the Democrats and the Republicans as the gremlin, with the plane as America.

The only problem is that in the real world, when the Government defaults, it running out of gas ain't gonna stop it from crashing!
