No taxes?

Mitt Romney on Obama Voters - YouTube

Holy mother of god what a stupid thing for him to say. Not to mention it's not even true. Well... Not really... Follow me on this conservatives because most liberals won't agree...

Any tax on a company is essentially a tax not on the company, but on whoever buys the goods right? I mean a company wants to make a certain percentage return on profit, and if it doesn't get it there isn't any point in actually giving the good or service.

Well... There is a corporate tax.

Taxable Income ($) Tax Rate[22]
0 to 50,000------------------------15%
50,000 to 75,000-----------------$7,500 + 25% Of the amount over 50,000
75,000 to 100,000----------------$13,750 + 34% Of the amount over 75,000
100,000 to 335,000--------------- $22,250 + 39% Of the amount over 100,000
335,000 to 10,000,000------------$113,900 + 34% Of the amount over 335,000
10,000,000 to 15,000,000---------$3,400,000 + 35% Of the amount over 10,000,000
15,000,000 to 18,333,333----------$5,150,000 + 38% Of the amount over 15,000,000
18,333,333 and up 35%

Hey... Sure... That 47% may not pay income tax... But they sure as hell buy food, clothing, shelter, and anything and everything from Walmart. Oh they pay taxes, it's just hidden in corporate tax.

That's how I see it... Feel free to punch any hole in that you can... I'm listening.

You contradict yourself in your OP. How do you punch a hole in a hole?

In actuality, based on current U.S. tax code, many people really don't pay any taxes at all. If you start adding up all the refundable tax credits in the tax code, many people are paid far more than anything they might have paid in any form.

*ponders*

I concede the point. I rep you.

Edit: It's something that struck me that I haven't followed all the way through and I wanted to talk about. Through it up quick. *shrugs* People talking... I'm happy.

You are failing, Libtards.

But please do bring the loser entitlement mentality of the typical gubmint dependent Obama voter to the public discourse.

The media sure as hell won't do it.

LOL

Snipe, what parts of SALES, FUEL, USER, FEES, ASSESSMENTS & "COSTS" do you not comprehend? The poor pay more taxes proportionate to income than do the wealthy, and Romney aims to keep it that way.

You don't know what an entitlement is, then, Libtard?

I doubt that.

LOL

I'm a moderate, and my father's military retirement was deemed an "entitlement" after he served in three wars. guys that were SMART enough to avoid war, like Raygun, Bush III and Cheney cannot understand why Vets get anything, you are not alone. YELLOW is the color of the CON heart. Snipe, you might check your neck, some may think its a caution light.

Pussylips, there is a difference between an entitlement mentality and someone receiving an entitlement.

Hope that helps.

Yeah... I'm not buying that one. But what you consider many and what I do may differ.

If you go by the tax code for corporations you are looking at what... An average of 30%? ( Yes, I low balled that so we don't have to argue about it )

I mean if you make 20k a year you pretty much spend all of it to live... 30% of that is 6 grand. Damn near every dollar of that is going to some corporation who pays a corporation tax. Of... 30%... Which you might as well say is coming out of your pocket as it's included in the price of the good and/or service.

Now I admit that the government has never given me a 6 grand tax refund. Maybe it happens more than I know...

If you check I think you'll find that it's liberals that routinely refer to military benefits, social security and medicare as entitlements. Most conservatives consider those to be things that were earned or paid for in advance.

Here's the thing about this.

While I think the comments were moronic, I don't think they'll hurt Romney that much.

Even though the reality of the situation is that a significantly large portion of the people that Romney just called out are, in fact, his base - the rhetoric will still appeal to that base.

The make-believe "47%" number is a talking point that many people won't realize includes them.

That's a good point.

I'm a little surprised more 'conservatives' aren't saying... Damn... The majority of the things I buy I'm paying 30% more for them than I need to. ( Yes, I'm still low balling the percent of corporate tax )

Obama is going to have a field day with this one at the debates

Obama and the moderators will want nothing to do with a discussion regarding the entitlement mentality of the typical Obama voter.

LOL

That's typical of you right wingers to be so dumb to not even realize how damning this is for Willard. This is something that could cost him the election just by itself,...

Is the word "corporations" just a convenient hate word for ignorant union educated lefties? Do they even understand that left wing corporations like Media Matters are tax exempt? We pay more money for the products we buy because some left wing tax exempt corporations have convinced ignorant left wing quasi-socialists that oil is evil and only Arab shieks should be able to dominate the world economy. Logic is upside down to the radical left. You dumb-assed lefties don't even know it when you are being screwed by the government but maybe you like it as long as the bureaucrat promises to call you tomorrow.

The only people outraged are the gubmint dependent losers such as yourself.

The meme is already crashing, and Obama will run from it faster than Moochelle can slam down a double cheeseburger.

If they work, they pay payroll taxes also. On top of that, they pay property taxes, sales taxes, and excise taxes. While there are some with children who get back more from the earned income credit than they put in, most are still paying more in taxes than they get back.

It's a funny thing how the right never wants to talk about how little the top income earners pay in state taxes versus the lowest income earners. In almost every state, the lowest income earners pay at least double the percentage and in some states it's up to four times what the wealthiest pay. But the cons will just brush that off and tell you that is the way it's supposed to be anyway.

I actually didn't realize what a big news story this video was until this morning. Flipping through the channels, nearly every morning show brought it up, and no one was happy with Romney.
