No One Has a Right to Health Care

I don't actually support the idea of free college. I am afraid too many kids would just go to college to screw around for four or five extra years. That being said, college is much too expensive and it is killing economic growth as our younger generation is being strapped with crippling college debt which is making it very difficult for young people to buy homes and new cars and start their families. We need to do something to reduce costs and also to route young people in the right direction when it comes to making career choices. A college education doesn't always benefit people if it is just a degree and that degree doesn't open the door to good jobs.

"Government is not the solutions to our problems............government is the problem."
Ronald Reagan

Said the guy who spent how many decades in government? :lmao:

Anyone who believes government is the solution to all of our problems is as nutty as anyone who believes that government is always the problem.

It just cracks me up when people sitting in Congress or the Oval lapping up all the power trips make statements like this, and their willing dupes nod and smile and say "See? He's a good man 'cause he hates the government, like me."

Complete disconnect.

You mean like doctors, hospitals, clinics, medical device companies............

I do hope you're family is planning on burying you when you die. Those funeral parlors make a killing.
My government healthcare card would cover all that, and my smart shopping with that card would help to get prices in line like they should be... If a buisness, clinic, doctor, hospital or funeral home charges to much, then me and whom ever else that don't want our taxes/deductions to go up, would shop wisely and smartly in the market place for the best prices and best quality service. The abusers will fall by the way side, and go out of business.

And you think insurance companies don't do that too???
. Why do I need them to do that for me ? Why can't we get the bang for our tax-bucks out of government that we deserve ? Why are we paying double and triple for everything, and getting crap in return ?

One of the reasons is that our government funded programs only pay providers 2/3 of the bill. In order for doctors and clinics to recoup those losses, they increase prices on private pay and private insured patients. That keeps the price of premiums rising.

This is why there is a growing trend of doctors and hospitals refusing new government patients. This is why when you see a closing of a medical facility, it's usually in poorer areas where most of the people are government patients.

"Government is not the solutions to our problems............government is the problem."

It's odd you start your post with we didn't have this or we didn't have that as if it was a good thing that you went through, and that it helped y'all in your struggles in life. Now this was what, uh all in order for you to make a point.about why we should somehow revel in our struggles within a class warfare healthcare system ?.. Wow.

How about if you

had what you needed, and then it set the stage for you to improve on that with far less difficulty or struggle in life ?

As long as it's not at the expense of somebody else, sure.

But the point I made is that government is a participant in our healthcare problems. I believe it was Einstein who said only a fool would expect the entity that created the problem to find a solution to it.

Okay, some believe that government can do it better. Better than what? What social program do we have that is operating smoothly, efficiently, costly and with a promising future?

It's my opinion that politicians have been trying to get more control of the people--particularly Democrats. The only two vestiges they have that would allow them that power is the control of energy and the control over our healthcare. That's because everything we do in life revolves around those two things: how much we eat, what we eat, how much we weigh, what sports activities are we involved in, how much television do we watch, do you drink alcohol, do you smoke and what do you smoke, how much of it do you smoke, what kind of work you do..........

As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for, because it may just come true.

And this is why Republicans are a dying party

Oh, you've been brainwashed into that nonsense too, huh? Well the dying party had record success in retaking the leadership of Congress and the Senate, and Hillary doesn't stand a chance at winning the presidency either. We'll see who is a dying party.
Sure thing, pal. "Let them die!“ worked so well in 2012. Why not stick with that message in 2016?

Let's see, you had Trump to cling to. He's pretty much done now. He's unelectable anyway. Who's next? Cruz? A Christian fundie nut job who believes that abortion should be illegal and has no plan for US health care other than repeal Obamacare and go back to the old system? (That's pretty much any Republican candidate's health care policy)

If everyone has a right to healthcare, who is supposed to provide this right?

Those wo can afford it will contribute the best they can. Those who can't will receive assistance from We the People

The only We The People your concerned with are the ones the rest of We the People have to support.

Apparently You the People want to assume responsibility for the We the People your concerned with and you assume the rest of We the People want to assume that responsibility as well.

Nice to know you assume everyone wants to assume that responsibility.

You are missing the point of our great Constitution.....we are all We the People

Our founders went to great lengths to ensure that We the People were not just the wealthy. They wanted the poor to have the same rights as the richest man

I didn't miss any point.

The FF would turn over in their graves if they saw some of We the People being forced to support the freeloading We the People.

The poor do have the same rights and rights has nothing to do with it.

Healthcare isn't a right.
Of course healthcare is a right

If We the People say it is. The founding fathers would support universal healthcare if they knew what the fuck it was

I doubt that because in their time everyone took care of themselves and if you had a problem family helped.

They sure as hell would never say the Govt. should become the charity that it is today. The word Charity ain't in the Constitution and we taxpayers are being forced to supply charity.

Yep, and every one of our candidates is ten times better than a washed up Socialist or a criminal ex Secretary of State. None of our candidates are under investigation by the FBI.

Of course you hate Trump. Trump is a successful man. He didn't make his hundreds of millions by giving speeches for payoffs. He doesn't have any shady charities also under investigation by the FBI.

Just because liberals are void of integrity doesn't mean the rest of the country is. So we'll see who wins in November even if some have to accept their special place in hell for voting against Hillary.

Trump is actually under investigation, via lawsuits, over a get rich quick scam he ran for years.

Donald Trump billed his ‘University’ as a road to riches, but critics call it a fraud

I'm not sure on this, but I think I've heard that people would have to qualify somehow, and I would assume that meant with grades, etc.

Yeah, if we just open the floodgates, that ain't gonna work. If kids have to qualify, that could be different. It could only be for kids who aren't just gonna hang around the dorm...

Private Health Care had no issues like Obamacare does. My plan was fine. Now its more expensive as a result of ACA. Furthermore, many places DO NOT accept Obamacare like Urgent Care and some doctors in general

Obamacare was ill thought out, forced on millions... What's not to love??
Lol

I can't imagine any American wanting to deny access to urgent healthcare just because they can't afford it

Any Human Being,

it seems the basic values of conservatives are more reptilian than human. Once it appeared it was simply greed which motivated the hoi polloi to the Republican Party in the 1980's; now it seems the character flaws run much deeper. Lacking empathy and withholding care from others is not only mean spirited, it is inhuman and that stands out as the most obvious flaw of the 21st Century (callous) conservatives.

It is the mastery of the super wealthy

To divert attention away from the obscene portion of wealth that they have taken, they point to the poorest Americans and scream....There is the reason you are suffering

The wealthy don't "take" wealth, they earn it like everybody else.

They "take" what they can and trickle down the rest

. It is a right or why would most states agree that you can't denie a person care if they need medical care ? Is that not making it a human right ? The problem is the class warfare that exist within the healthcare insurance system, and the corruption that has been found through out the healthcare industry on whole.

It is not just the corruption it is the inefficiency

Insurance is nothing but a middle man gathering a pool of money and then deciding how to dole it out (after taking a hefty profit)

Doctors offices are now businesses more concerned with a patients insurance and spending inordinate time on billing and negotiating with insurance companies

Just like socialist entitlement programs - frivolous waste of money, time and resources...

BUT
Nobody gets killed people people get fed which also supports employment in the grocery sector ...and folks get health care which support their well being while also supporting employment in the Health Care sector ...and it prevents our seniors from eating Alpo dog food....

Iraq was a lose lose thing ...like you are a war loving shit spouting shit for brains "losah" conservative but I repeat myself...........

Not water drawn from a mystical well is right, because that serves no one, but when drawn from a well that sustains life it serves everybody...

Sex is a basic need. It is a fundamental drive among humans. So there is a "human right" to rape your wife.

Now obviously this is absurd, as is your claim that health care is a right. You have no right to infringe the rights of others. You feel entitled in a Louis XIV kind of way, because you are a leftist who thinks that your wants are an impetus on others. They aren't though. You have no more claim to the labor and knowledge of a doctor than a skid row bum has claim to the sexual favors of your wife.

The insurance industry leads people to the mystical well, and tells the people that the well is running dry so just imagine the water to be drunk from it, and they do this after the people had invested so much in it only to find out that it was mystical (not real) when they chose finally to drink from it...And then meanwhile the corporatist draw a curtain over the real well in so that they will keep drinking it's wealth in life for themselves, and then hoping it never runs dry for themselves who are the profiteers.

Health care is a service provided by people who spend years to learn and involves substantial effort. You claim that you have a right to rob them, to take by force, to rape them; you do not. You are just another looter using the implied violence of the state to take by force that which you have not earned.
