I remember that as well - but I didn’t realize the (R)’s we’re driving it and the (D)’s were trying to block it. I wasn’t paying that close attention to the issue back then.The left hates this undeniable reality - but here is yet another example that the government is not needed for anything outside of the 18 specific enumerated powers the states delegate to them.
