That article stated that it could be halted not that it had been halted. I don't foresee that actually happening. I suspect if it does for any length of time, like the first pay cycle, there will be hell to pay.

Military pay for soldiers in the US and abroad could be drastically affected should the government experience a budgetary shutdown in the coming days.

And I would be siding with those in our military.
