NFL Chief bids for Wembley Stadium

FA holds talks to sell Wembley to Fulham owner Khan in £900m deal

Mr Khan already owns Fulham FC who are on the verge of promotion to the Prem. However Wembley would be far too big a home for Fulham who average around 20k per game.

Its thought that this may be a first step to relocating the Jacksonville franchise to London in the near future.

Would that not cause outrage in the US ?

It's going to cause outrage in the UK, how was the stadium financed? £120 million came from the lottery, what? To make the FA rich by then being able to sell it on.

The sale price is £154m below the cost to build it. The FA would retain the Club Wembley business but I have no idea what that actually does.
It is bizarre that the richest sport in the world needs government money but Wembley follows in the footsteps of the Olympic Stadium debacle. A doomed venture if ever there was one.
