The Dallas Cowboys, with an estimated value of over $4 billion, is the most valuable sports franchise in the world. But their owner, Jerry Jones, pays no property tax on his new stadium. That deprives Tarrant County, Texas, of $6 million per year. Maybe the Dallas Cowboys should be renamed the Dallas Corporate Welfare Queens.

Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium, where this year’s Super Bowl was played, may be named for a big bank, but half of its $1.1 billion cost was paid for by taxpayers, after Goodell warned state lawmakers that if they didn’t build a new stadium, the Vikings might head for greener pastures.

It should be called the U.S. Taxpayer Stadium.

There are a lot of wealthy people who don't pay tax, because the govt is for the rich, by the rich.

No kneeling at all on the field, even for prayer. lets make this a rule. Even those kneeling for prayer are disrespecting the flag.

Pogo had the simplest, best idea ages ago. Until 2009, teams stayed in the locker rooms until after the Anthem. Just return to that. All fixed. No one butt hurt.

To clear things up, according to the letter of the law, the NFL League Office is the company that is actually tax-exempt, not the NFL as a whole. The NFL is comprised of 32 separate organizations – the teams – all of which pay taxes on their individual revenue. The NFL League Office is classified as a trade organization. As a trade organization, the NFL League Office’s primary purpose is to “further the industry or profession it represents.”

As to the idea of "going back to the way it was" - the damage is already done as far as the fans are concerned, forcing the boys to stay the locker room during the anthem now would actually cause more harm to their reputation than good at this point.

The players are now planning other forms of protest to disrespect the NFL.

Stop fooling around and fire all protesters. They can protest on their own time.
