... is, I believe, legalising and regulating drugs - effectively getting rid of the global war on drugs.
Some great arguments against the war on drugs and for legalisation/regulation made by members of LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition):
And this one ...

I don't care for drugs. All I've ever used was alcohol, tobacco, MJ and even ventured to the shroom-land once upon a time. I'm not an avid drug user. I drink a glass of wine here and there, have a cig when I'm out on the town and MJ is something that I can use perhaps 2-3 times a year. Mushrooms scared me, so no more mushrooms for me.
However, what I do care for are my kids. I don't want them to grow up during war on drugs. I want this ridiculous 'war' to be over by the time they grow up and start seriously exploring the world around them. I know they will experiment, they will 'have fun,' etc. and I'd like them to be able to do that in the safest possible way.
I am also absolutely flabbergasted by the amount of money that is being annually spent on this ridiculous 'war,' money (c/a 100 billion dollars per year worldwide) that would be better used on education, environmental protection, healthcare, scientific research and innovation, etc. Not to mention the amount of revenue the drugs would bring countries through regulation/taxation!
