That was the problem.

An 8% cut, not touching the military or the border, seemed like a pretty good start. Now we have the same level of spending for the next 45 days.

In 45 days, you think the new speaker will get a larger cut, and a cut that makes up for the last 45 days?

An 8% cut in spending. When was the last time we got that.
