Best ad ever IMO was the "Like Father, Like Son" anti smoking ad in the early 70s.

Then the anti-smoking ads dissapeared from TV -still not sure why

Social pressure works better to eliminate or mitagate addiction (like cigarettes) than any imposing laws against that behavior.
