New Daily Show Host Joked U.S. Worse Than Apartheid South Africa

On Monday, Comedy Central announced that South African comedian Trevor Noah would be replacing Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show. To get a feel for Noah's brand of humor, one could simply watch his debut on the fake news show in December of 2014, when he jokingly declared that present-day America had worse race relations than Apartheid South Africa. After introducing Noah as the show's newest contributor at the time, Stewart noted: "And I know that you flew in, I guess, yesterday from South Africa." Noah replied: "Yeah, I just flew in and boy are my arms tired....No, no, seriously, I've been holding my arms like this since I got here." He made the completely discredited "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" gesture with his hands and added: "I never thought I'd be more afraid of police in America than in South Africa. It kind of makes me a little nostalgic for the old days back home." - See more at: New Daily Show Host Joked U.S. Worse Than Apartheid South Africa

US incarcerates more of its citizens than South Africa did. How is the comparison unfair or untrue?

Because he feelings are hurt. America #1!!!*

*Even if were not

Actually we are number 1 for most incarcerated citizens. :) So we got that going for us. ;) Not in the top 10 in any other area though.

More jokes like that and the show will continue on its way to irrelevance.

John was funny under Bush because you felt like he was saying all the things you felt... Then as Dems took over he still went after Republicans who were a minority in the House and the Senate, and right there John started loosing the views who were looking for representation in a polarized political climate. Now the show is hard to watch as the the humor is laced with propaganda.

Now if John had focused on Obama and Dems like he did Bush he would have gone down as just flat out great, but instead he is great to the left and the hard core hate filled left. The center, right, libertarian, and so much more just don't care about him.

More than O'Reilly goes after the right...

Don't know the factual ratios.

Do know they both didn't go against people on their political "sides" that often.
And O'Reilly is not funny, entertaining and has a bad make-up artist...

He's not really that funny compared to Stewart, but I think that's the point, and it's not really a bad thing, either. I like watching both O'Reilly and Stewart; in tandem I feel they complement each other. It'd be neat if both made a show together. I'd be watching it every night. :D
Yes, since both are mere mocking birds...

I was reading on the guy. He sounds like a real winner. calls himself a "progressive"
Expect more hate ginned up as comendy

You read up on him eh? What did you learn? Or did you hit ctrl + F and search for Progressive to determine who he is as a person?

Why do you think that is? Because we have more people that don't obey the laws? Or that we have more laws? And what does that have to do with what the "comedian" said?

Most of the people in prison/jail in America are there because of drug laws.

Change the drug laws and fewer people will be in prison.

Studies show that a small amount of caucasian people go to prison for drugs compared to the large amount of African Americans who go to prison for drugs.

he's a frikken foreigner. he said he's lived here in the United States for awhile but: he's gown to love the place.

so he starts off saying we are WORSE than apartheid in Africa....

What they go after is the same thing the cable news shows go after - ratings. Limbaugh is going to say what he thinks his listeners want to hear, O'Reilly will do the same and so does the Daily Show. I suppose the only real difference is the Daily Show doesn't pretend to be serious news. You are not supposed to take it seriously.

New Daily Show Host Trevor Noah Is Callous Jew-Basher on Twitter
Posted by Kristinn Taylor on Monday, March 30, 2015, 9:57 PM

Trevor Noah, the newly announced replacement for Jon Stewart to host Comedy Central’s Daily Show, has a pattern of making comments over the years on his verified Twitter account about Jewish people that play upon derogatory stereotypes that reeks of anti-Semitism.

One comment was a Holocaust joke.

“Almost bumped a Jewish kid crossing the road. He didn’t look b4 crossing but I still would hav felt so bad in my german car!”

“Behind every successful Rap Billionaire is a double as rich Jewish man. #BeatsByDreidel”

“Messi gets the ball and the real players try foul him, but Messi doesn’t go down easy, just like jewish chicks. #ElClasico”

“South Africans know how to recycle like israel knows how to be peaceful.”

Noah, who is South African, told the AP in an interview published Monday that he is a progressive who shares the progressive world view of Stewart.

“AP: You have a much different background than Stewart. How will that affect the show?

When you know it is against the law, and you do it anyway, don't be surprised when you have to pay the penalty.
IF people don't wanna go to jail, don't commit the crime ... PEROID!!!
???WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT???
