The objective is to bring a criminal to justice. The courts are not gonna concern themselves with Trump's political ambition, they gonna evaluate the evidence presented in court and render a verdict.

4. demonstrate to ourselves and the world at-large that a President is not a King and that even ex-Presidents can be held to account for grave wrongdoing

5. conduct and conclude these trials in advance of the November 2024 general election to avoid the possibility of him pardoning himself or others
