In review, the Ruth Institute is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Ruth Institute was originally a project of the anti-LGBT National Organization for Marriage (NOM), created to conduct youth outreach, and to warn young people about the dangers of divorce, sexual promiscuity, and, especially, to recruit them in the fight to block the legalization of gay marriage. Essentially, the Ruth Institute is opposed to equal rights for gay and transgender persons. Yet... this thread made me look into this, and wow... Pornhub's response was BIG.
They removed 1000's of users content, deleted 10,000s of videos that could not be verified, and installed a process to stop future such videos.... AND THEY DID IT IN LESS THAN A WEEK.
And the reason they they were able to do this was because if they didn't - THEY WERE FUCKED. Gone... out of business inside of a week.
Without the ability to receive credit card payments... they were immediately toast.
And looky there - they did it.
So I call bullshit that they couldn't stop it before.
You can bet they will now.
VISA and Mastercard has already allowed limited payments again responding to Pornhub's changes.

I stand in ovation at the credit card companies for doing this.
