Nanny/Police State: NYC Ban On Large Sugared Drinks...

Second thread on this.

What..now Conservatives are against "State Rights"?

Or are Conservatives against other Conservatives making a "Nanny State".

No, we're just pointing out how stupid you totalitarians are.

Stop me if you've heard this before.

Bloomberg is a rich corporatist that ran as a Republican.

Bush is a rich corporatist that ran as a Republican.

Romney is a rich corporatist that running as a Republican.

Seeing a pattern yet?

Hillary Clinton, Pelosi, Gore, the Kennedys? All worshipped by democrats.

You gotta think before you post something that can so quickly and easily be thrown back in your face.

So if I buy the gigante tub of buttery popcorn, 2 hot dogs with everything, some joo joo bees, nachos, and a slice, I'll have to buy two medium cokes to go along with that? Well, that makes sense.

Trying to cut out the sugar and all.

Bloomy isn't a Conservative...He's a damn commie is sheep's clothing, I don't care if he had a D or R next to his name..

as for states rights, no problem, maybe the people who live there will finally GET FED up and stand up against the idiots in charge

He's more of a cultural conservative, like Pat Buchanan and Bill Buckley, who want to control bad behavior.

Bloomberg has a lot more in common with Soros than he does Bush or Romney.

You know who Soros is? He's the one pulling your strings.

I was reading in today's paper about the surge in popularity in old school clothes lines. Ya know, hanging clothes on a wire to dry naturally? Saves energy and thus money.

But HOA's have banned them mostly, because it harms precious "property values". And many local governments have passed laws that "bans HOA's from banning" clothes lines.

Yep, folks. We've gone regulation-crazy. We're now passing bans on the act of banning stuff.

Twilight Zone!!!!

Yup... Liberal angst.

Except most of the "Big Brother" ideas come from your court.

Point is, you Socialist/Progressive Nanny/Police Staters can't have it both ways. You want Big Brother intervening and controlling this way? Well then that's exactly what you'll get. Can't complain when Big Brother takes away something you support. You want the Nanny/Police State? Big Brother is more than happy to give it to you.

Support what?

I support the legislative process.

This isn't an idea I like..and it's probably not going to stick.

Well see, now you're making some progress. Maybe you're not the loyal Goose Stepper i thought you were?

What thrown back?

No "worshipped" the Kennedys, Clintons, Pelosi or Gore.

Worship is a conservative thing. As are religious, ethnic and racial litmus tests.

Worship is when you support anything and everything someone says or does without questioning it. Then after they say things you don't question, you prop them up morally and intellectually as your superiors.

Partisans suck at questioning their leaders, but I've never seen such blind following as I do now with Obama and Obamabots. It took forever, but at least eventually huge chunks of republicans broke away from Bush, it doesn't matter how bad things are and Obamabots still think their hero is incapable of making a mistake (like a god or prophet, hence worship).

Because of the granularity.

Government shouldn't be in the business of telling shop owners what they can and can't sell. I'm all in favor of posting calories and warnings. But it's up to the consumer to make an informed choice. And not the government.

 Yeah, like you didn't support them all. Come on, now you're just straight up lying. But anyway, do you support this action or not? You're coming off as a torn & confused Socialist at this point. No one knows where you stand on this one.

I agree, it is a choice, some counties in the country have the calories of their foods posted on menus, I like the idea, it helps to make an informed decision.

I dont see the problem with it, America is full of fat asses and if the trend continues it'll be bad for us in all ways

Support is different from Worship.

Seriously..look it up.

So if it was a ban on soft drinks that used powdered sugar or confectioners sugar, you would be OK with it?
