Nancy Reagan wants the healthcare bill

Well, I was in high school for most of that decade. Don't remember any Nancy Reagan jokes circulating though. Perhaps you have an example?

You have GOT to be kidding.

Remember when Ronald Reagan was shot, and Nancy Reagan began using an astrologer to organize his schedule? Remember when she replaced the White House china? Remember the endless shit she took for the cost of her clothes, wearing fur, etc.? Remember feminists ridiculing her for being nothing more than an adoring adjunct to her husband? Remember Kitty Kelley's absolutely vicious "biography" of her?

I was in high school during the 80s too, but apparently I haven't experienced premature onset senility in the interim like some people.

No, I really don't remember any of that stuff to tell the truth. I do remember some nonsense about Kitty Kelley's book, but I don't remember too many people actually paying attention to it...

It was a bestseller. How do you figure that happens if "not to many people actually paid attention to it"? It sparked articles in Newsweek and Time.

Two words for you: gingko biloba.

So Nancy is a Socialist?

Yep and senile.

No this is just a made up thing that the OP has gotten 5 pages worth of entertainment out of.

I fell for it, i admit it. But at least i searched for it only to find out the only place online talking about this is US on usmessageboard.com.

do a google for "chris matthews interview nancy reagan"

LOL, I guess I was too preoccupied with girls at the time to pay attention to politics.

I'll read up on it.

And, as Pilgrim pointed out, I've searched all over and can't find the interview from the OP. Looks like this thread may be wasted space.

Doesn't honestly matter to me if she said it or not. I think the salient point here is that leftists want policy decisions made for every damned reason under the sun EXCEPT that it's good for America or what the majority of the people want.

Why are we having health care legislation sold to us as though it's toothpaste or a new car, on the basis of which celebrity they got to make the commercial?

i'm gonna try to find us a transcript or something VAST_LWC

Sweet.

And for the record everyone, I never disliked Nancy Reagan.

I really always kind of liked Ron, except for the whole big deficit to feed the defense beast thing... Oh and Iran Contra kind of sucked.

But other than that he wasn't bad at all.

So you're fine with 2 trillion in deficit spending to pay for Democrat policy failures, bribes and the nationalization of the private markets... but you were put off by a 100 billion to fund the US military at the level necessary to do the job of definitively defending the US and her interests...

I was boy crazy in high school, but I still managed to multi-task and be informed.

And as I said, I think it was very useful space in that it demonstrated the mindset of leftists so perfectly.

While you're looking stuff up, why don't you look up why we're supposed to give a rat's ass what Nancy Reagan thinks about public policy decisions?

AAAAAAAAnnnnnnnddddddd under the bus Nancy goes by the righty's. Who could have called this?

Yeah....

So, which is "Good for America"?

Making sure every American has health coverage?
OR
Invading another sovereign nation, with no provocation except a pack of lies?

Because those were two major "Policy Decisions". One that "leftists" had a problem with, and one that they supported.

One of those decisions was a platform and a promise that a president-to-be ran on in a successful bid for election...

the other was a bunch of Bullshit that was predicated on a lie, which was supported by Republicans and rightists long after the entire basis of the war was proved to be false.

Which makes your entire statement categorically false.
