I asked a question regarding jurisdictions earlier and it went unanswered...

Also, he was picked up by military police - the ONLY reason he was arrested - CHP would have let him go the second they saw who he was.

I haven't seen anything that says he was picked up by military police. I find that pretty hard to believe since military police have no jurisdiction without the involvement of the California Highway Patrol.

I've also read nothing which states this was his third DUI. Your link certainly didn't that and, in fact, it went so far as to explain how Pelosi's BAC may not have been a contrbuting factor to the accident:

"So in a case like this, it is reasonable to say that Pelosi didn’t feel the effects of the alcohol, didn’t cause the accident, and quite possibly registered a higher BAC because of his age."

I don't know that I'm buyin' that, but it is what it is.
