So she was trespassing on public property. Since when is that a capital crime? Any real police department would have suspended the lieutenant and done a thorough investigation. Since he was a command officer, it's likely they would have referred the investigation to an impartial agency to avoid event the perception of favoritism. Instead the Capital Police did a closed internal investigation and closed the matter.

The wall gives you time to get your guns……the walls around the Kibutz slowed the attackers…but not enough of the Kibutz had readily available guns when their walls were breached……sadly gun ownership in Israel is only about two percent of the population…..,,,,so most Israelis didn’t have guns available…

The one lucky kibbutz had guns….in an armory, and only the quick thinking of one woman saved them…….the walls slowed the terrorists enough to allow them to get to their guns…and their people were not raped, tortured, murdered and mutilated….if they had guns in their homes, rifles with 30 round magazines, on hand, they would have been even better off…..they got extremely lucky …

The second amendment doesn't cover a public official shooting a person under color of authority. Even a citizen shooting an unarmed trespasser faces some tough questions in a "stand your ground" state. The standard is would a "reasonable person" feel threatened with bodily harm or death from the intruder. If a trained police officer with years of service can't wrestle a small woman confined to a broken window to the ground and subdue her, he shouldn't be carrying a badge in the first place. But then an officer who "forgets" and leaves his issue firearm in a public restroom shouldn't be carrying a badge either.

Most of them were unarmed. Only two and a half percent iof Israeli civilians are permitted to possess private firearms. Based upon the news story, even the weapons for the security forces of the Kibbutzim are kept locked in an arms locker and not immediately available for defense. In the one case, the head of security reacted to unusual noises and unlocked the arms bunker and armed her security personnel. In another case the husband and wife were reservists who had their duty weapons at home. They killed seven terrorists before being overwhemed and killed.
