Seriously,do people really get their News information from this GE/NBC mess? Those people over there really have lost it. Bizarre stuff for sure. :cuckoo:

MSNBC daytime anchor Thomas Roberts seizes on Mitt Romney's use of the phrase "Keep America America." The network claims the phrase plays homage to the Ku Klux Klan slogan of "Keep America American." According to left-leaning news outlets, the "Keep America American" expression was apparently used by the KKK in the early 1900s.

Somehow the folks at MSNBC believe Mitt Romney is acknowledging his Klan roots by using a similar phrase in his 2012 campaign for the presidency.

UPDATE: On tonight's edition of MSNBC's "Hardball," host Chris Matthews apologized for the "irresponsible" and "incendiary" attack on Mitt Romney.

Sounds like something the Know Nothings would have said....but the KKK said it too. That's a fact....not made up. So, why apologize?

Pride? A desire to perpetuate a lie? Propaganda? Irrational hatred?

Im sure we could come up with some if we really wanted to. But why try?

The KKK didn't say that? Because that's the only way it would be "a lie", Avatar.

The implication was that Romney sympathizes with the KKK. Which we all know isn't true and is a pretty vicious attack. The KKK would lynch Romney on an oak tree and brand the Obama "Yes We Can" symbol on his forhead if that kind of thing were still legal in the south...

They didn't say it too. Two different slogans. The NBC douches of course knew that.

Absolutely true what you say.....but that KKK slogan did exist...

I'm not saying it didn't exist. But implying that Romney's slogan was even slightly inspired by the KKK slogan that existed almost a hundred years ago is a pretty big leap.

Two different slogans. Man,do you work for GE/NBC or something? Read.

He was wrong to apologize.

you're a dickhead Shallow!

Naw.

See I never raided a company, fired everyone, then offered to hire the young workers back at less pay..and no benefits.

Then..you'd be right. Then..I would be a "dickhead'. But I didn't do that.

Romney did.

And he's a dickhead.

Off topic, but can't help ask this question, Sallow.

If you bought a failing company, in order to make it successful, what would you need to do?

On that, we agree....but that it exists is not a lie.

Now i understand a bit more why we have so many problems in this country. Many people really do get their News information from this GE/NBC debacle. I mean such warped minds. Scary stuff.

Well, you can't blame them for their confusion. They've been told not to savage Reversable Mittens until after he's won the nomination.

But sometimes, it just slips out..

Though their rating are in the shitter. still too many people watch that disgusting station so called news.

They throw out a story like that then think all they have to do is Apologize.
