Most don't chose to be "Poor" what an absurd ignorance.

The super rich should be paying for the wall, they should be paying for military, schools, and benefits too.

Why shouldn't they?
They get so rich, they can't even spend that money in a 1,000 life-times, WTF?

I can think of a ton of better uses for that money, that hoarding it at societies expense.

Can you not comprehend that stealing every dime from the rich wouldnt do shit to end poverty?

What is so hard to comprehend that a lot of those super wealthy buisnesses don't actually make anything? That they only contribute to the downward spiral of American communities, culture and values? Companies like Facebook and Amazon.

The pay taxes as do the millions they employ.

How many of the "Rich" are hiring Illegals, H2B visa people?
How many of the "Rich" are outsourcing jobs to China, Vietnam, India etc?

How many of them promote LGBTQ rainbow flags in order to sell more crap?

Capitalism at this point seems to create more poverty, than it solves. (For the USA)
They keep minimum wage low, and that's not enough they bring in a bunch of Immigrants to bust our balls a second time to compete with them, AGAIN.

Yes, Capitalism is selling LGBTQ merchandise, Porn, Gangster Rap, Illicit drugs, Prostitutes, Abortion, Che Guevara T-Shirts, outsourcing jobs, insourcing illegals.

Capitalism, and social-Conservativism are like mixing oil & water.

If you taxed the top 0.1% a very high amount, the deficit would be gone in no time.

But, of course that would never make sense. (Rolls eyes)

Why not give companies a one time tax break to bring back all the offshore cash?

I'm for Corporate tax breaks, ONLY if they sign a contract promising to bring back jobs.

On the other hand Bezos personal wealth, has basically zilch to do with his company.

Which is already happening.

I agree 100%. American conservatives have been brainwashed. There's nothing conservative about globalist capitalism but they support it and simultaneously cry about the eroding morality of this nation.

Being a capitalist has nothing to do with globalism unless you direct your efforts in that direction.

Being critical of capitalist excess doesn't mean we're advocating communism either. Big tech, media corporations are ruining this country and should be held to account for it.

I'm a capitalist through and through.
What needs to be addressed is the trade deficit which Trump is doing.
We need to make it profitable for companies to bring back manufacturing jobs.
I'm not saying there is no such thing as detrimental capitalism by any means, there are people out there that dont give a shit about the US as long as they're making money.

Hey! Polish boy! You back? Don't get banned! (Derp! Look who's talking)

Welcome back! Let's see one, just one of your paintings.

Maybe you're finally done with snow this year.

Even if we had a perfect system, people still wouldn't be able to make it out of poverty, without help. This is true for veterans too.

I'm definitely not going to spend a heck of a lot of time here, it's not healthy.
I was born with nothing and worked my way up to poverty.

Two words

Anyone who thinks poverty is a choice, must be pretty ignorant to say the very least.

Ignorant of genetics, like how people suffer from diseases like MS, Parkinsons, Down Syndrome,Alzheimers, Cystis Fibrosis, Sickle Cell, or from being maimed, or simple back, knee, or neck injuries. That doesn't even speak of Bi Polar, Schizophrenia, severe depression.

Then there's the fact, they don't understand the nature of Capitalism, in the first place. Capitalism creates winners, and losers. Capitalism leads to so many "Elite" and so many "Servants" of the elite, it will always have minimum wage jobs, no matter how smart, or educated they are.

Poverty is a choice one makes indirectly that is a direct result of choices they directly make.

One doesn't choose poverty, but they choose drugs.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they choose to drink themselves senseless every day.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they choose a life of crime.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they become teen moms.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they never attempt to move up. They just go to work and go home.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they drop out of high school.
One doesn't choose poverty, but they make poor life choices their entire lives.

So no, I doubt many people wake up and say "I want to be poor today" but they do make bad choices over and over again and poverty is the consequence of poor choices.

Learn to Code.

So why don't you just move your ass to a country that supposedly does just that. Just be careful and try not to get sick or you just may die waiting until that wonderful gubberment provided healthcare kicks in. I think Venezuela did that, well maybe not so much anymore.

A nation should care for and empower it's citizens.

Why?
America is about letting you empower yourself.
I mean really, what more incentive do you need?
Does your future or your families future mean so little to you that you need the government to give you a reach around?

Is that what America is about? Seems to me it's about grinding your life away at a job you hate only to have all your savings drained because you were so foolish as to contract cancer.

Like it or not, life is somewhat Darwinian.

Imagine for a moment that peoples' capacity for earning money and accumulating wealth is spread along a Bell Curve, like IQ. (You don't need much imagination; it's true). The ability to earn money and accumulate wealth is associated with intelligence, diligence, talent, industriousness...and the lack of same.

When someone chooses to do no homework/studying while in school, decline to work available part-time jobs during school, drop out of high school, have children out of wedlock, engage in anti-social or criminal behavior, spend money that you don't have, etc., etc., those choices tend to result in your being poor. Can't blame ANY of that on forces outside your own control. Those are CHOICES.

Lotsa people have factors outside their control that tend to make them poor but a lot of it is bad choices and failure to do what is necessary to succeed.
