The swatting is escalating every day and nobody is getting arrested.

This phenomenon seems to be ignored by most Americans but it should cause a lot more anger rather than fear for those who do see it for what it is. We are supposed to be safe from any government action while we are in our homes and only for very clear legal reasons should they ever come knocking at night or in the wee hours.

Imagine lying in bed asleep and suddenly you awaken to the sound of your door being kicked in. As you jump out of bed and grab a weapon to defend yourself, you hear yelling but are so pumped up on adrenalin - thinking your life is in jeopardy - that you rush to the sound of the intruders and if they see you first - armed - they simply shoot you dead in your own home because you pose a threat to THEM...

If you don't properly identify them in your muddled state of fear and you shoot and kill one of them, your life is forfeit in prison or the death chamber. These organizations make mistakes ALL THE TIME. The only solution I can imagine is to have doors that they simply cannot breach in a short time. That would give the person the ability to identify who it is and to set aside their weapon and voluntarily open the door, unarmed.

Those found guilty of swatting where a person is killed should be charged with murder.

John Paul Mac Isaac, Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones And Law Professor Jonathan Turley Are the Latest Targets of Bogus Police Calls

30 Dec 2023 ~~ By Kristinn Taylor

The holiday season "Swattings" continued this week with George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones (R) and Hunter Bide laptop figure John Paul Mac Isaac all reporting being swatted by bogus police calls. Jones also reported his office received a bomb threat.
Turley, who lives in the D.C. suburb of Fairfax County, Virginia, issued a statement Friday night, reported the New York Post (excerpt):
“Yes, I was swatted this evening. It is regrettably a manifestation of our age of rage,” the George Washington University law professor said in a statement on Friday.
“However, we are grateful to the Fairfax police officers who were highly professional and supportive in responding to this harassment,” said Turley, who regularly writes op-eds for The Post.
Law enforcement responded to Turley’s Fairfax County home after an individual placed the bogus emergency call.
The Fairfax County Police Department confirmed that the caller falsely said somebody was shot at Turley’s address.

John Paul Mac Isaac, the former Delaware computer repair shop owner who came to prominence after reporting Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop computer to the FBI several years ago, reported he was swatted Friday night, “My home was swatted tonight, I was not home but the outstanding men and women of the Wilmington PD responded quickly and professionally. All that was achieved was the wasted time of the Wilmington PD. NOTHING, let me repeat that, NOTHING will take me out of this fight! Cheers!”

Commentary:
We know for a fact, the FBI can track all these calls. No doubt about it. So the question is why aren't they?
Either they are letting it happen for political reasons.
Or the people investigating are the ones making the calls,
Or they want to usher in more surveillance laws that extend even further if that is possible.
Guess the FBI is too busy going after parents and Catholics so they haven't got time to track their calls.
This is the same excuse that they claim they still don't know what happened in Vegas, or Maui, or Seth Rich or the guy that planted fake bombs on Jan 6th.
Strangely it's only GOP and conservatives that are being "Swatted", but Hey! that's okay.
Now if one DNCCP Democrat like Schumer. Schiff or Swalwell were "Swatted" Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray would be on the case immediately and people would be

Why no Democrats and leftists. Is it not a crime to do this, at least a state crime.

It is at the minimum harassment and there are laws against that. Plus, it likely violates other state laws even if there is no direct anti-swatting law on the books, such as abusing/misusing emergency services, or wasting police time, among others.

This is bullshit. I've heard the excuses why the police can't detect swatters and it is bullshit. The technology is there and without going into a lot of boring details, if someone is using technology to hide their true identity and point of origin, it is absolutely within the capabilities of telecom industries to provide that to police and should be sued for not providing it.

ITMT, all police really need to do when getting a swat-type phone call on someone famous, especially in cases of repeat swatting, is to simply request a callback number where the phoner's call can be returned to verify their identity first. And if there are any blocking technologies being used, request the caller call from another line that isn't blocked.

Part of the problem is this:
  1. Decades ago when the phone company went to full digital phoning technology, they created an overhead data stream which carried the caller's identification from their phone account records to be used by the switch in the recipient's central office to better manage call traffic using less resources.
  2. One day, someone got the idea that they could sell that data to customers and make additional money off of it by providing a service so you would know who is calling before answering. Basically, collecting money off of you for something that was already there.
  3. Eventually, the service was sold to third party companies who bought the phone data off the telecom, providing the income the telecoms sought while relieving them of the burden of administrating it.
  4. But these third parties were not a regulated telco so had no legal responsibility of keeping the data current. Further, technologies came along whereby calls could be generated confusing the BRCS features (caller ID, call forwarding, distinctive ring, et al) stealing other people's data or generating false data. As a result, caller ID has been made unreliable as it now comes from a third party database instead of the overhead originally generated in the telco central office. So in effect, you are still getting charged for caller ID, etc., but are no longer actually getting what you are paying for. As such, your caller ID to another person might be another person's name, no name at all, or just the state the call originated from.
This could all be fixed by forcing the telcos to resume responsibility for the BRCS services where direct handshaking between offices is again required using bit checking for verification but apparently, politicians are lobbied against this by the telcos to make more money. The problem has only been further exacerbated by the move from landlines now to mostly cellular traffic where most cellular traffic is not operated by the baby Bell Telcos but instead by endless fly by night CLECS (competitive local exchange carriers). This was all caused by the government intrusion into the once secure phone industry (The Telecommunications Act of 1996) to "break up" the monopoly of the telcos so that communication was an open market of unregulated phone companies while the original Bell telcos remained largely regulated.

Uncle Sam has fucked us over yet again.

Wray is too busy chasing after those terrorist Catholics and concerned parents rather than go after the real crimes affecting America, especially political corruption of the DNCCP.
