Isn't France one great big gun-free zone?
To Mr. H.: Absolutely. I looked it up and found this among others:

France's gun laws

French gun laws date back to April 18, 1939, though they have been amended a number of times since. They are certainly tough: There is no right to bear arms for the French, and to own a gun, you need a hunting or sporting license which needs to be repeatedly renewed and requires a psychological evaluation.

According to Gun Policy, a project by the University of Sydney, the punishment for illegally having a gun is a maximum of seven years in prison and a fine. In 2012, the French government estimated that there were at least 7.5 million guns legally in circulation.

Parenthetically, every government must convince their people that the police will protect them. That myth is the political philosophy behind gun control. Once the majority believe the myth the government can then use the police to control the behavior of every person, or so they believe.

In the same vein, a professional soldier serves a higher calling than does a policeman.

Note that dictators use their military as a police force. Basically, that which we call a police force in a free society is called an army in a dictatorship.

Only the government has guns in dictatorships —— the ultimate gun control. When private citizens no longer have guns contemporary dictatorships only have to guard against military coups. Taqiyya the liar set out to protect himself with his own paramilitary police force:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Incidentally, I predicted killing cops in December 2014:

First off, Democrats have been trying to disarm law-abiding Americans for decades. It is now clear that killing average Americans will quickly follow killing cops. The question is this: Will the police stand aside and refuse to confiscate the guns the federal government located over many years? Local and state police forces have no reason to support the federal government whose policies are now committed to killing cops, nor should cops stand in the way of armed Americans defending themselves against Taqiyya the Liar.

The latest military coup should be of great interest to our glorious leader above and beyond geopolitical considerations. As usual, the sewer rat is on the losing side BECAUSE FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE THE TURK IS HANGING IN THERE. Win or lose, Erdogan could have used a little insurance from a WELL-ARMED security force loyal to him alone:

Erdogan, who accused the coup plotters of “treason,” had called on Turkish people to enter the streets and take them back.

Coup d’not: Turkish military mutiny crumbles

NOTE: The stuff I read and heard about events in Turkey turned the word secular into a synonym for democracy. I will use the word democracy in my observations.

You gotta love a guy who said:

Democracy is like a streetcar. You ride it until you arrive at your destination and then you step off. Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Happily for me, Erdogan is not that big on democracy. Irrespective of what John Kerry says the democracy crowd is not happy about Erdogan winning any more than they are happy with Syria’s Assad.

Now that the coup d’détat to overthrow Erdogan has failed he would be justified in executing the entire democracy crowd in Turkey.

Incidentally, democracy’s victories is ZERO. Libya, Egypt, Syria, and now Turkey should warn every Islamic fringe group not to get suckered into fighting for democracy. If they must fight for something they should fight for a limited form of government —— not democracy, not Islam, not theocracy, not the United Nations, and certainly not anything American traitors promise.

Finally, limited government and more freedoms never follows democracy any more than they would magically appear in a secular Turkey.

Is it possible that Erdogan read my message:

Erdogan promised a purge of the armed forces even before the coup attempt was over. "They will pay a heavy price for this," he said. "This uprising is a gift from God to us because this will be a reason to cleanse our army."

At a rally late on Saturday, his supporters demanded that the coup leaders be executed. "Let's hang them!" chanted the crowd in Ankara's central Kizilay square. Erdogan told them that parliament may consider a proposal to bring back the death penalty, which has been abolished.

NOTE: Erdogan’s purge of the army will be done for the same reason Obama purged our military —— get rid of high-ranking officers who were not loyal to his agenda.

Naturally, rule of law horseshit is heard from Europe to Washington whenever politically correct coups and revolutions fail:

"We want the rule of law to work fully in Turkey," said French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault. "(The coup attempt) is not a blank cheque for Mr Erdogan. There cannot be purges, the rule of law must work," told France 3 television.

Act within the rule of law, Obama warns Turkey - News

Question: Did you ever hear Hillary Clinton, Obama, or anybody in the Administration, cite the rule of law when they created ISIS?:

The history is very clear. When Barack Obama took office in 2008 with Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State, one of his first moves on foreign policy was his New Beginning speech in Cairo, Egypt. With members of the Muslim Brotherhood in attendance, Pres. Obama claimed a new era had begun in America’s attitude toward Islam.

What followed was the “Arab Spring” uprisings throughout the region. Even though people initially hailed these as bold moves by people desperate for freedom, the “Arab Spring” was, in fact, a way for Islamists to dethrone the region’s more secular military dictators. Cairo itself made this clear: just months after Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton declared a new beginning, rebels removed Hosni Mubarak from office, and the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood came to power and installed brutal sharia law.

The single biggest factor that led to the rise of ISIS was the failed attempt to overthrow Syrian Pres. Bashar al-Assad. The United States openly called for the overthrow of Assad, even though it was clear that the result of that overthrow would be Islamist groups taking over.

Hillary Clinton Policies Created Conditions for Rise of ISIS

When the spin stops, overthrowing unacceptable dictators is all about creating democracies. Overthrowing the Shah of Iran taught them nothing:

Kerry Still Plugging Away In Syria

Finally, the democracy movement never overthrows Communist dictators or Communist regimes. Indeed, the Left never stopped complaining about America supporting dictators who were no threat to America, while the democracy crowd always curled up with every Communist dictator they could find. No surprise there since democracy always ends in totalitarian government.

Hillary Clinton does not know how to tell the truth about anything. She knows damn well that Obama is Putin's first choice. She also knows that Putin sees her as the most desirable substitute:

Russia has decided that it's all in in Syria. And they've also decided who they want to see become president of the United States too, and it's not me.

Not only is lying a dominating personalty trait in Hillary’s genetic code she is a stupid person:
