Mike Pence cleared of wrongdoing in DOJ investigation into classified documents; Trump’s case is different

Other than that they both illegally had classified material at homes they owned, how were they similar?
That is the similarity. Along with neither of them trying to interfere or obstruct in the search for and recovery of those originally found, and the additional one's found in the search of their residences.

I think the big difference will be that when they announce no charges for Trump, they'll say, "but, he's NOT exonerated, so NAH-NYAH!"

The Justice Department has closed its investigation into the possible mishandling of classified documents found at former Vice President Mike Pence’s home and will not bring any charges.

This is different from Donald Trump's retention of classified-marked documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort which is distinguished in the eyes of the justice department from that of Joe Biden or Mike Pence as a result of one particularly crucial difference: suspected obstruction of justice. So, it's not the same thing.

And Biden had classified docs he stole while a Senator. And said docs were shipped via regular courier service and there is no chain of custody for them. Plus docs at the Penn Biden Center which has received millions from the CCP.

The docs found in Biden's garage were available for anyone, including Hunter to access. Again, no chain of custody on those docs.

The controlling legal authority is the PRA and the PRA anticipates ongoing and long-winded negotiations between a former President and the Archive. There is nothing in the PRA authorizing DoJ involvement in these matters.

And indeed Trump was negotiating with the Archive at the time of the unprecedented raid on the home of a former President, banana republic style.

In fact, there is evidence that the DoJ KNEW about Biden having classified docs prior to the raid on MAL, and that most likely means the DoJ used the MAL raid as cover for Biden.

Not to mention that the Biden family is on record as receiving multiple large payments from countries that are adversaries to the U.S.

Jack Smith is "the decider". The chances of no charges being filed against Trump are virtually zero.

Your very description of how the documents were handled belies that there was no intent to retain the documents. A required element of intent. Which is lacking in both the Pence and Biden cases.
