In a flabbergasting request, a coalition of Mexican lawmakers has asked the United States to stop deporting illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes in American courts.

The preposterous demand was made at a recent southern California conference in which the mayors of four Mexican cities that border the U.S. gathered to discuss cross-border issues.

Among the cross-border topics that were addressed at the conference was the deportation of Mexican citizens who have committed violent crimes in the U.S. They want U.S. officials to stem the deportation of such convicts to their cities, according to a local newspaper report that covered the conference.

To support the request, the mayor (Jose Reyes Ferriz) of Mexico’s most violent city, Ciudad Juarez, pointed out that of 80,000 people deported to his community in the past three years nearly 30,000 had committed serious crimes in the U.S. Around 7,000 had served sentences for rape and 2,000 for murder.

If this seems unbelievable, consider that a few years ago Mexico’s government formally complained that too many Mexicans had been repatriated from the U.S. and that the entire country was overwhelmed with demands for housing, jobs and schools. Various Mexican legislators publicly chastised the U.S. for sending illegal immigrants back, explaining that the country could not accommodate the “repatriated.”

The Obama Administration seems to be heeding to Mexico’s request by openly halting the deportation of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.

Damn! I don't even know what to say to this! Mexico is broken due to the corruption and ineptness of its government! I can understand why these mayors are asking us not to send them their violent offenders, they know as soon as they get back to that country they be back out on their streets, then eventually back into our streets... So basically wh're damned if we do damned if we don't.

If they are sent back to Mexico, Mexico would have to take care of them. Even the unemployed illegal are getting by on the backs of their anchor babies welfare check, food stamps and housing. Those that are still working is still sending money back.
Mexico should bear some of the resposibility for taking care if it people.
I no longer blame illegals, but years of our broken government.
Never thought I would say this, but I am going to take a chance of the tea bagger in fixing our broken government.

aside from the obvious gall of the request, what interests me is I googled-

Mexican lawmakers has asked the United States to stop deporting illegal immigrants

and not one msm hit. Not one. Considering the state of the border region, the light thrown on immigration issue and all of its myriad mechanisms and machinations, the AZ law etc....this should have been at least a page 2-3 story in a few papers, or worth a blurb on a net or cable outlet. *shrugs shoulders*...

They don't want THEIR criminals back?

Shocking.

They are having a hafd time with entitlment demands of their own deadbeats?

Shocked and awed.

Screw mexico. It's a shit hole and thier crap flows north.

Maybe we should take a suggestion I heard mentioned on or by Michael Savage. Deport them back to the opposite side of Mexico down by THEIR southern border. Just drop em on a beach and pull away.

Mexico asked...

Mexico suggested...

Mexico filed an official complaint...

Mexico files lawsuit against Arizona immigration law...

Mexico this... Mexico that...

blah... blah... blah

One might think, judging by the outrage displayed on this thread by so many super patriotic american clowns at Mexico's DIPLOMATIC measures, THAT FULLY RESPECT AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY, that the Aztec nation waged an expansionist war against America, invaded W. DC and forced the US government to cede half of its territory...

Oh no wait... This already happened... with Mexico on the receiving end of the violence.

I'd like to see us NOT deport illegals from countries in this hemisphere that have been convicted of violent crimes. I consider deportation to be a get out of jail free card...where they might trickle back into our country. I'd rather keep an eye on them here.

If they are from overseas, then we can send them away, since we are more likely able to stop them from coming back.

Interesting to note: A "news" source that includes words like flabbergasting, preposterous and unbelievable is not a credible "news" source.

The mayors...border mayors...are asking that the deportees not be dumped in their border towns but rather in different parts of Mexico. It is actually unfair to these towns to absorb all the violent criminals.

Boo-Hoo - do you hear the violins in the background? Poor, poor Mexico! They are receiving ALL their violence from the evil, bad, U. S. of A. They export their poor; they export their criminals; they export their scum as they desire only to keep the 'elite' and the USA is suppose to yell alleluia and how lucky can we be just keep sending them to us???!!!! Mexico has got to be the dumbest, most inept, most corrupt country on the face of this earth - and oh yes, the most hypocritical to boot.

Dear Mexico:

We have given all due consideration to your recent request.

Application denied.

As it pertains to the Mexican citizens getting deported from the United States, be advised: they aren't ours. They're yours.

We don't want them.

You are obligated to take them back.

When the day comes that lots of U.S. citizens are flocking to illegally enter your nation, and you get some of our most despicable dregs, criminals, skells, mutants, mutts and morons, we might have cause to reconsider. Until then, however, with all due respect, seriously, go fuck yourselves.

Very truly yours,

Shrillary Rotten Clinton

Judicial Watch is biased. No doubt about that. However, biased does not always equal bogus.

This is from the AP

The mayors urged the U.S. government to send more money to border regions from its $1.4 billion Merida Initiative to fight drug trafficking. They also asked for accelerated efforts to fly deported illegal immigrants to their hometowns in Mexico instead of returning them to border cities.

The mayors avoided discussion of the violence in Juarez but offered advice in interviews.
This is from the San Diego Times:

Jose Reyes Ferriz, mayor of Ciudad Juarez, said Mexican border mayors are asking U.S. officials to stem the deportation of convicts to their communities.

Of 80,000 people deported to Ciudad Juarez in the past three years, 28,000 had U.S. criminal records, he said including 7,000 who had served time for rape and 2,000 convicted of murder.

Reyes said that U.S. authorities are “on the verge” of launching a new program that flies deportees by plane to central Mexico rather than busing them to the border.

He also said the large number of criminal deportees has contributed to the violence in Juarez, which has reported more than 2,200 homicides so far this year.[/quote]

Considering the track record of the AP in the past few years, I would venture to guess that THEIR story was "flabbergasting, preposterous and unbelievable". In other words, bullshit.
