I believe this will develop rapidly. There will quickly develop a large, unemployable class. But don't worry Biden voters, we'll just keep importing a million unskilled laborers a year. Democrats need their voter base

How long before a sex-bot that cooks and cleans?

Smug White-Collar Workers Can Easily Be Replaced by Robots, Too

Technology can also create jobs, as the invention of the telephone did. Not only jobs we want done but had no way of doing them before, but even to fulfill needs that we don't even know we have.
Fret not----the people who control the BOTS can eat us-----as predicted in
THE TIME MACHINE by the prophet H. G. Wells

There will always be an underclass of unmotivated workers. At least if you developed a work ethic after high school, you had a chance to establish yourself and grow in a company. This will take these people out permanently.

Not everybody in highschool has their future planned out. Most don't. They are destined to become a permanently unemployable underclass

Over the last fifty years the productivity gains generated by this "underclass of unmotivated workers" has went to the business owners and the shareholders. The workers have not been getting the benefits of their productivity gains. As AI and Robotics generates a new growth plain for productivity, we need to plan to pass the benefits of that growth to the workers, or maybe the non-workers. And yes, a universal basic income needs to be a part of that equation.

Low worker wages is a result of a glutted unskilled labor market, fed largely by immigrants. High paid skilled position vacancies are all over the place.

He thought it would get him elected. UBI would cause a mass exodus of workers, disaster for the economy. Yang didn't think it through.
Probably right. But it's going to happen anyway We are entering a dark time. There will be millions of unemployable and unmotivated "workers") like our inner-city ghetto populations. No future. No motivation. And no skills
