If you notice, not only has there been a concerted effort to change the term from global warming to CLIMATE CHANGE (more ambiguous and includes ALL weather incidents, including earth quakes) but they have also went away from predicting whole scale changes in the short term. Those interglacial peaks are under-resolved as well. Peaks are likely SIGNIFICANTLY higher than the data results. What should worry folks about climate is the WIDTH of interglacial periods. On some scale, if history repeats, we are in the Autumn of optimum climate for a VERY VERY VERY long time.

Maybe instead of going to Mars -- we should learn how to live under a mile of ice.

Ice Cap variation is the inevitable result of reaching the melting point of ice in the Arctic during a couple months of summer up there. . CO2 emissions have hastened that a bit. But nowhere NEAR as much as YOU think it has at this time or the next 100 years...
