Yes, I know that, and most of America knows that...but if liberals on here admitted this, they'd be forced to show what Obamabots they are, for supporting such a base political maneuver when the country is suffering.

the senate works in mysterious ways. this wasn't a cloture vote, it was going to be added to the Chinese currency manipulation bill, via unanimous consent, which they do ALL OF THE TIME.

the Chinese currency bill has bi partisan sppt. so adding this as is would have left harry to get just get 50 to pass it, not 60 for cloture, he would not need any republicans.

Reid to block this added a bunch of other amendments to fill up the bill docket, so it could not be added. He doesn't have his 50 and we all know it now for sure. that was the point, we knew this already but its nice to see it confirmed, which is why he put the bill off. His offer to have a a stand alone vote afterward never would have happened, there would have to be dem. amendments to get out of the tax raising issues, they want a 'millionaires tax only.

Look, the dem senators are cutting obama loose just as obama has cut them loose. Obama knows that the bill will not pass even with the 53 ( incl. Indys) dem senators they have becasue 23 of them are up for re-election.

Mconnell took some of the steam out of this pass it now republican obfuscation issue, well done.

i would assume that the dems are dragging for a month so they can try to gather up more votes in the house and senate.

Seeing how Obama's bill takes a lot from the Republicans there should be some swing votes.


Because i dont agree with your opinion that its the Dems fault. Its more complicated than just the dems fault.

The bill is an impossible bill- it was written that way on purpose. That DOES make it a democrats noose since the president belongs to that party. My point is that this bill, proves beyond a shadow of doubt, that this president does not care about the average joe citizen!

Reid hopes that the house votes first- that's all. He is punting, looking for headlines focused on house republicans. He must hate licking Obama's boots- for handing him this piece of crap bill while he get to go off on tax dollars campaign stumping. I imagine many democrats are ruing the day Obama won instead of Hillary.

Yeah right. The so-called FAILED economic stimulus bill was shoved down our throats in fire department speed--Obamacare passed.

And now your stating Democrats don't vote in blocks. NOPE--what has happened is NY9--a seat that was held by democrats since 1923 just went Republican--so what democrats have done in light of this--is made Barack Obama a lame duck President 14 months prior to the election-.
