Marines Without Leader For First Time In Over 100 Years. GOP Holding Military Families Hostage

That's not true. He just can't issue the Commandant's Planning Guidance. That doesn't mean he can't steer the force in the direction he sees fit.

The Commandant does not have a lot of power to start with, one that is just "acting" would have even less.

We used to joke around while I was in that you could tell when there was a new Commandant because the uniform regs would change since that was one of the things they have power over

What power do you think he doesnt have exactly?

Actually, Sleepy Joe is the one who hates the USMC. Not the GOP or the Tremendous Sen. Tuberville. Tuberville is representing all of the great people of Alabama, even though he's an Auburn fellow, he still represents Crimson Tide fans as well. And people agree that they don't want a Pro-Abort, antilifer heading out Marine Corps.

Why does Biden refuse to appoint someone actually competent to the job, instead of a radical leftist? Do you really think that the invasion of Iwo Jima would have gone off smoother if the USMC sent an invasion force of She-Males instead?
The Church Gets the Men Women Don't Want

Prissy puritanical preacher-creatures who believe women shouldn't have a sex drive are the real queers.

He has no operational control over the Marines, only administrative, and even that is limited.

When I was in Gen Mundy tried to pass the rule that 1st term Marines could not get married. He got slapped down by the Joint Chiefs and Congress and we pretty much never heard a thing from him again.

What powers does the commandant have that the acting Commandant doesn’t?

The Acting Commandant doesn’t have any power. All he can do is keep things on the same path they were.

If its that critical, why doesn't President Biden NEGOTIATE with Senator Tuberville to get this matter settled in a bipartisan manner?

Aren't we supposed to be trying to be inclusive and bipartisan and returning the country to normal?

aka....give the moron from Alabama everything he wants.

And that’s where once again you’re wrong.

He just can’t move into the Commandants residence or issue his Commandants Planning Guidance. But he can enact any policy change a fully confirmed Commandant could and can issue his vision (aka Commandants Planning Guidance) for the future of the Marine Corps just can’t do as the official planning guidance. When Smith is confirmed the only thing that will change is his address a where you can read his plans for the future of the Marine Corps.

Because it’s not critical and there’s political hay to be made.

Not at all.

Give the Distinguished Gentleman from Alabama some of what he wants, and the senator will give Sleepy Joe some of what the Biden Regime wants.

One hand washes the other, negotiation is what they call it.

You assume he will be. What happens if does all those things and is not confirmed, then they are null and void.

Gen. David Berger stepped down as commandant of the Marine Corps on Monday, but had no permanent successor to hand off to, leaving the service without a Senate-confirmed leader for the first time since 1910.

The lapse in command is because Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama is blocking senior military nominations in protest of a Pentagon abortion policy.

Republicans hate our military.
The Marines fall under the Dept of The Navy.
They don't need a Marine commander.
