No different in the US, we just go about it differently, we let corporate and Wall Street oligarchs do the plundering of society and the government is merely an extension of corporate intersts. Privatized corporate prisons with stocks traded on Wall Street is now a growth industry and with convict leasing we’ve returned to profiteering from bondage. That’s how we deal with the poor and the fact that we have a post industrial society in which the jobs are not coming back; that line of shyte is for the masses.

First the “job creator” class decided they no longer required the unsubstantial people for production and outsourced the jobs to other developing nations or to illegal immigrants (here via lobbying by the “job creator” class) where they could more brutally exploit labor. Then as places like China and India became even more developed, the “job creator” class decided it no longer required the unsubstantial people for consumption either since there were other sources of consumerism upon which to extract societal wealth from to concentrate. As war was waged on the ability of the unsubstantial people to organize to respond to the organized exploitive efforts of the substantial people, wages and income were rather easily driven down in the pursuit of corporate profit margin growth to infinity. People were trapped since in america one’s access to health”care” is controlled by employers unless one is of a certain advanced age. America bought into this notion of capitalism = predation such that society and a government of the people was nothing more than another resource from which to extract and concentrate wealth, with which you in turn control the political and economic system, and thus the people.


So in essence, this particular prison guard is merely a good american capitalist.
