Your statement is so ridiculous I almost dismissed it. Just because there is a law does not mean there is 100% compliance. The fact is the EEOC which is responsible for investigating violations of the law, rarely do anything without a complaint being lodged and it is very rare for workers in small businesses to lodge complaints with the government, particular if those workers are immigrants, legal or illegal.

It doesn't happen in the manner it was presented, you can dislike that, but it is completely and utterly false.
She applied for a technology job at a company, and they offered her an amount. She turned it down because she learned another applicant was offered 20% more - specifically - because he was a male.
She could sue the pants off of that company, because that is 100% illegal.

It was a silly presentation, made out to be as if this happens all the time.
It does not.
And your argument of illegal immigrants etc. is moot. She is not an immigrant
