List some good science fiction movies.

Another good sci fi movie is "Knowing" with Nicholas Cage. He's a father who is trying to figure out a way to survive a coming apocalypse, all the while running from aliens who want his boy.

My wife liked that movie a lot more than I did. I found the ending particularly unsatisfying.

Star Gate, The Forbin project, This island Earth, Alien, Blade Runner....

I watched The Forbin Project some years ago, and was struck by the unintentional quaintness of the movie, being watched so long after it had been made. What, at the time, was intended to be a depiction of ultra modern, futuristic computer equipment, to me at the time I watched it, was a collection of long-obsolete antiques.

Yes but Mrs Cunningham was hot!

I really enjoyed "Arrival" with Amy Adams. The ending was mindblowing in the best possible way. "Passengers" had a blockbuster feel to it for sure, but it really made you ponder the ethics of waking someone else up knowing that you're going to essentially sentence them to death just to avoid being lonely yourself.
