Let us get this budget surplus and deficit stuff straight once and for all

I cannot imagine anyone saying this country is better now than it was it was when he took office and why anyone would think his performance has been acceptable
This is about performance

It's not better than when he took office, and he's not performed acceptibly.

But that doesn't mean that Rabbi gets to blow his own set of facts out his ass.

There weren't more job losses in 2001 than 2008. That's just flat out loony talk.

LOL YOU FAILED MATH DIDNT YOU?

This from the party that says taking more means you have more.

DUFUS...........

The ONLY people who want a balanced budget are the taxpayers who don't benefit from the debt.

Nobody in real positions of power really gives a rat's ass what those outsiders want.

Translation: I have nothing to refute this argument. The facts are the facts.

I cannot imagine anyone saying this country is better now than it was it was when he took office and why anyone would think his performance has been acceptable
This is about performance

We are no longer losing half a million jobs a month, which was ongoing when President Obama took office.

You honestly want to argument that that reality was better than what's happening now?

Yea anytime any place

this 3 trillion dollar failure was suppose to have 3 million jobs save or created by now (the stimulus part of that debt)

We were not even talking about our credit rating being down graded

I do not know if you know, but the Obama-care wreck got deemed unconstitutional again by the 11th circuit in Atlanta

The real job loss did not begin until after BHO got elected, we had a 6 million jobs more then than now

We have no plan to create any wealth (jobs)

We have no plan to stop the deficit and there is already talk of another down grade if we do not
No plan for Medicare
No plan for Social Security

The stock market was around 8100-9000 in Jan of 09 and it looks to be headed back there,

with 3 trillion in debt since then. GM bailed out, GE bailed out.
This would now also include the 250 billion that GWB put in the market that we got most all of it back (tax payers wealth) that also had about 200 billion in stimulus from GWB. of course Ws was not a slush fund. it was given back to the tax payer only. Unions did not get the majority give to the like the other

you want me to go on?

What I am having trouble with here is a success story vs a failure and somehow this most important part of the debate is being missed
why is that?
it is the very way Obama got elected and if we let it go on, like here
he will get re elected

Bill Clinton got credit for what Newt and the boys did in the 90s

Newt Gingrich and company -- for all their faults -- have received virtually no credit for balancing the budget. Yet today's surplus is, in part, a byproduct of the GOP's single-minded crusade to end 30 years of red ink. Arguably, Gingrich's finest hour as Speaker came in March 1995 when he rallied the entire Republican House caucus behind the idea of eliminating the deficit within seven years.

We have a balanced budget today that is mostly a result of 1) an exceptionally strong economy that is creating gobs of new tax revenues and 2) a shrinking military budget. Social spending is still soaring and now costs more than $1 trillion.

Skeptics said it could not be done in seven years. The GOP did it in four.

No, Bill Clinton Didn't Balance the Budget | Stephen Moore | Cato Institute: Daily Commentary

And when it comes to deficits after 2001?

from 02-07
all GOP budgets we run a yearly deficit of about 250 billion a year
GWB would not even sign 2009 budget and the 08 was 450-500 billion in the hole
both with a dem congress
Budget 2011: Past Deficits vs. Obama’s Deficits in Pictures

so with that said and adding 10-11 and 12 to that we have from about 98-07
GOP added about 1 trillion and the left has added, well lets just allot more than 1 trillion

There is nothing here to debate
if there is what exactly would it be?

still waiting for a good debate as to this debt business

I see NY above thinks that losing 600,000 jobs for 1 month is worse than losing 6 million jobs total, 3 trillion dollars in 2 years (not counting interest), credit status, no plan with deficit for the rest of time over 1 trillion per year with no plan to end this jobless crises and last but not least, District 11 federal court declared Obama-care un constitutional

And somehow people think this is better than 5% UE with a deficit of 163 billion
the year?

Things were worse under Bush. This is Lefty dogma and you will do bugger-all trying to get them to admit otherwise.
In fact the day Obama took office was the best day for the economy in his entire term so far.
