Which party is better at managing the budget?

This type of OP.. Meh.

Presidential fiscal policy is a very slow burn and takes years to really feel the effects of.

Reagan was good with the economy, he knew how to do things. Nobody between him and Trump was

worth a plug nickel as far as doing good for Americans, though.

Party/Schmarty. It's more like the elite puppets vs. the people.

Reagan and Trump are not the elite's puppets/leaders/minions.

I'd bet Biden is a member of The Council of Foreign Relations.

All the rest..:dunno:
Every POTUS between Reagan and Trump was the fox guarding the henhouse. We have finally arrived at the end of the spending spree, $1 trillion a year in interest payments on a $33 trillion debt with sky high inflation as Washington panic borrows and spends trillions in annual deficits.

So when congress comes back in January, will they cut spending or just keep spending like drunk sailors?

BOTTOM LINE: Congress setups up and enables events to destroy the economy or the American populus to sway the next Election. They work hand in hand with many corrupt State GOVTs' also.

They no longer need to do any of that since 2020 they have built in unlimited Election Fraud (blatantly out in the open) and turned a Police State loose vs. any opposition to DEEP STATE.

After these intentional catastrophic events, they use spending to somewhat heal the crisis and blame the "last guy".

Kiss my narrow white rear end OP. You sucketh massive Libstain Black crank.

:confused-84:

What positive fiscal policy did Reagan and Trump implement?

Their tax-cuts depressed revenues while they increased spending. That is exactly OPPOSITE of good fiscal policy.

Which party manages the budget better? I'm giving you what each president from Carter forward inherited in terms of net budget deficit/surplus, what they left behind in terms of deficit/surplus, and then what the net change in the deficit/surplus was under their leadership.

Carter inherited 184.7b deficit
Carter left behind: 191.6b deficit
Net change for Carter: Worsened the budget by 6.9b

Reagan inherited: 191.6b deficit
Reagan left behind: 267.1b deficit
Net change for Reagan: Worsened the budget by 75.5b

HW Bush inherited: 267.1b deficit
HW Bush left behind: 387.5b deficit
Net change for HW Bush: Worsened the budget by 120.4b

Clinton inherited: 387.5b deficit
Clinton left behind: 166.1b SURPLUS <---note: SURPLUS
Net change for Clinton: Improved the budget by 553.6b

W Bush inherited: 166.1b SURPLUS
W Bush left behind: 1,500.8b deficit <---note: At the time, worst deficit in US history
Net change for W Bush: Worsened the budget by 1,666.9b

Obama inherited: 1,500.8b deficit
Obama left behind: 561.0b deficit
Net change for Obama: Improved the budget by 939.8b <---note: At the time, fastest rate of deficit reduction post WW2

Trump inherited: 561.0b deficit
Trump left behind: 2,402.1b deficit <---note: Worst deficit in US history
Net change for Trump: Worsened the budget by 1,841b

Biden inherited: 2,402.1M deficit
Biden today: 928.6M deficit
Net change for Biden: Improved budget by 1,473.5M <---note: Fastest rate of deficit reduction post WW2

If we put all of this together and split it out by party, we see that republican presidents combined to move the budget in the wrong direction by 3.7 trillion, whereas democratic presidents combined to move the budget in the right direction by 3.0 trillion.

So that's what the data says in terms of budget management by president and party, but what do you say? And if you feel this data isn't a good metric to use to gauge how each president or party manages the budget, what is and why?

Data: Federal Receipt and Outlay Summary
I don't understand why you asked which party is better and then proceeded to list presidents.

Get real, everyone knows you have no clue.

You can't explain how undercutting revenues and increasing spending adds up to good long term fiscal policy...BECAUSE ITS NOT EXPLAINABLE.
You are aware revenue increased even though Trump cut taxes, no?

He also cut a lot of spending out, which the Biden regime immediately brought back.

Things like $135 million to UNRWA to fund HAMAS. Things like that, yeah.

A bunch of "czar" positions, too, AKA grift and give free money to friends for nothing.

Yep, clueless tax-cut cult nutbag.

Revenues will always grow over time as economy grows, with or without relatively small tax code changes.

There is not a single serious economist that actually thinks that Trump's tax-cuts was some sort of economic free lunch where people pay less and government collects more. It sounds too good to be true....because it is, otherwise who the hell would be against it?

At $33 trillion in debt, the answer is obviously "neither".
