    Did anyone listen to the new "Let it be" album ?

    I going to pick up a copy tommorrow, supposed to be great !

    I heard a few songs on the radio. They sounded great but not too much different.

    I'm kinda against this album. Basically, Paul McCartney wanted to make a more stripped-down album, but John and George wanted Phil Spector's wall of sound style in it, so majority ruled. Seems like Paul finally got his way, because from what I hear, all he did was take the "Spectorness" out of the music. It seems very disrespectful to John and George, in my opinion. Here's a direct quote from Rolling Stone from John a few years back, in regards to the work Phil Spector did with this album:

    "He was given the shittiest load of badly recorded shit with a lousy feeling to it ever, and he made something out of it. He did a great job."

    I'll stick to my huge, booming over the top version of Let it Be, I think.
